Desmond's appearance just announced that things would take a turn into a shitty mess.
The council was instituted, because I wanted to have some checks and balances. Unfortunately, the elders of the realm were mostly my dad's allies… I have no idea if they rigged the votes or how all of them came to be there, because I was certain that most of them would not make it.
