Chapter 5



Emma and her team members were so nervous and scared with Mr Blackwood reaction,they were scared that their work didn't meet Mr Blackwood expectations.



...and then, his eyes locked onto Emma, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "This is..." he began, his voice trailing off as he strode closer to the presentation, his eyes scanning every detail. The room held its collective breath, the tension almost unbearable.



Suddenly, Mr. Blackwood's face lit up with a wide, beaming smile. "This is absolute perfection!" he exclaimed, his voice booming through the room. "Emma, you and your team have outdone yourselves!"



The room erupted into cheers and applause, but Emma's heart still raced with anticipation. What did Mr. Blackwood have planned next? She exchanged a glance with her team, their eyes shining with excitement and trepidation.



And then, just as the celebration was dying down, Mr. Blackwood dropped a bombshell: "Now, let's take this to the next level. We're going to present this to the board of directors... today."



The room fell silent once more, as Emma's mind raced with the implications. Was she ready for this? Only time would tell…

After Emma's stunning transformation of Mr. Blackwood's office, which exceeded Ethan's expectations, he called a meeting with the board of directors to showcase her exceptional interior design skills.





Emma was nervous, but the board members were impressed and wowed by her work. They whispered among themselves, leaving Emma anxious about what would happen next.





Then, Mr. Blackwood spoke up, "Emma, the board of directors and I are thrilled with your work. We can't afford to lose a genius like you. We'd like to offer you a position at Blackwood Enterprises, leading our interior design section."





Emma's eyes widened in surprise and delight. "Are you serious? This is incredible!" she exclaimed, on the verge of tears. She hugged her team members, overwhelmed with emotion.





"Absolutely!" Ethan confirmed, his eyes twinkling. "You've proven your talent and dedication. We want you on our team; you truly deserve this."





Emma felt a surge of joy and hugged Ethan tightly, tears of happiness welling up in her eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm just so overwhelmed," she said, retracting from the hug.





Her hard work was finally paying off, and her financial dreams were starting to come true. "Thank you so much, Ethan. I won't let you down.”





Emma and her team members left Blackwood Enterprises, promising to celebrate their new development at Emma's house. Emma was overjoyed and drove down to Lily's school to pick her up, eager to share the news with her.





As she arrived at the school, Emma met Lily outside her classroom, waiting for her. "Mummy!!" Lily screamed happily, standing up and running to her mother.





"Aww, my princess," Emma smiled, pulling Lily into a big hug and giving her a peck on the forehead. "How was school today, darling?"





"Fine, mommy," Lily answered joyfully, happy to see her mother.





"Mom, you're happy today," Lily observed. "What's the secret behind it?" Emma was moved to tears, touched that her daughter noticed her emotions.





"Don't worry, darling," Emma said. "You'll find out tonight. Tonight is a night of celebration because your mum finally got a great job at the biggest company in the country!!"





Lily's eyes widened in excitement. "OMG! Mummy, I'm so excited!"



"To celebrate, my darling, we'll go to ShopRite for ice cream and cake!" Emma exclaimed, thrilled to see Lily so happy.





"Hurray!!" Lily jumped up and down excitedly, and Emma was delighted to see her daughter share in her joy. She was grateful that they had both moved on from Mark and were starting a new chapter in their lives.



Emma drove out of the school premises with Lily, heading to ShopRite to fulfill her promise of ice cream and cake. Lily was ecstatic, squealing with delight as they arrived at the shopping mall.





After selecting their treats, they left the mall and headed home to prepare for the celebration. Emma's team members would be arriving soon,and she wanted everything to be perfect.





As they drove home, Lily's excitement only grew. She couldn't wait to share in the joy of her mother's new job and celebrate with their friends. Emma smiled, feeling grateful for this special moment with her daughter.





After a long and happy drive, Emma arrived home, feeling fulfilled. Lily jumped out of the car, beaming with joy.





Despite her fatigue from a long day, Emma's happiness kept her energized. She and Lily showered and began preparing food and drinks for the celebration.



With everything in place, including balloons, decorations, and warm lighting, Emma felt grateful for her new job. She knew it would provide a better life for Lily.



Emma pulled Lily close, her eyes shining with joy. "My baby, now that Mummy has her dream job, I'll take care of you and send you to one of the best schools in the states."





Lily responded with a joyful "I love you so much, Mummy!" as Emma hugged her tightly.





Their warm embrace was interrupted by a knock at the door, signaling the arrival of Emma's team members.



Emma went to open the door, with Lily jumping around excitedly. "Ta da!!!" screamed her fellow team members, each with a gift in their hands meant for Emma to congratulate her on her new success.





Emma was overjoyed, and as everyone entered the house, she locked the door. "So everyone grab a drink and let's make a toast!" Sandra, one of her team members, exclaimed.





"Okay!!!" screamed everyone in unison. Sandra continued, "Our darling boss Emma has finally bagged a new job deal, which has always been her dream for years now, and now she finally got it! Cheers to more success, Emma!!"





"Cheers!" everyone echoed in agreement. Just then, a horn was heard from outside. "Who could that be?" Emma wondered, a little worried. "We're not expecting anyone again."





"Let me go check who's at the door," Emma said, dropping her drink. She went to check who was at the door and was shocked at who she met right there. She moved back with her hands in her mouth, frozen in surprise.





"What are you doing here?" Emma asked, her voice barely above a whisper
