Alexander POV
I let my parents know that I would show my face in a couple of days’ time. They pestered me more about my whereabouts and tried to guilt me with Carmen’s pregnancy. I was not going anywhere until I knew my mate was safe and doing well, especially since I did not know who attacked her. I made my way back inside her room as the doctor finished up examining her.
“How is she doing doc” I asked
“She is doing good; I want to keep her overnight for observations. Make sure she is all good before I discharge her Alpha” he said and left.
“Hey baby, how do you feel” I asked her as I sat down beside her
“Drugs can do a lot. I would feel a lot worse” she said laughing
“I’m glad to see you in a better mood. I would like to ask a question or two…if you’re up for it”
