Temptation

Chapter 2

Lucca procrastinated for a few days but eventually decided to listen to Brea. She figured it was probably worth a shot, what was the worst that could happen, right? so she applied to jobs that Brea listed and found somemore openings on her own. A week or so passed and she heard back around half of them.

There was a couple of online rounds, and then finally her first in-person interview was scheduled with the founder of Salazar Tech.

Lucca wasn't nervous, she had always been great with authority figures. So, she walked into the waiting room with all the confidence in the world. waiting room with all the confidence in the world. Unbotherd about the outcome. She was more interested in the job at SoulTech anyway, so she was considering this as a trial that would prepare her for the job that she really wanted.

''Ms Castilo? Mrs. Hansley will see you now.''

Lucca got up from the couch, following the the woman to the conference room. She wished her good luck, before knocking on the door and then moving aside. Lucca grabbed the handle, opened the door and took a step in.

Lucca hadn't done much research on the role or the company when she applied for the job. She should've done that, but she couldn't be bothered. After all, she wasn't even serious about it.

She was just giving it a shot for the heck of it.

When she got to know the founder and CEO of the start-up would be conducting her interview, she was fully prepared to sit in front of a stereotypical middle aged bald businessman/woman in an overly expensive clothes. What he absolutely did not except was.....Shiloh Hansley to be a literal Adonis

Lucca couldn't even pinpoint the first thing she noticed about her , her mind was all over the place as her eyes took in the sweet sight in front of her.

Her sharp nose, her sculpted jaw, her pink lips, and the soft smile on them. The light stubble that somehow made her face look even more defined.

Lucca was somewhat in a daze as Lucca introduced herself and stood up to shake her hands. All she could do was nod stiffly as they shook hands. Her mind wandering to different body parts that Lucca could wrap those long fingers around. Shiloh raised a questioning brow, definitely assuming that Lucca was nervous, but little did she known.... She quickly told Lucca to take a seat so that they could begin the interview process.

''Let me start with the basics here....why did you choose to apply to Salazar Tech?'' Shiloh asked.

Lucca was still in gay panic, but she managed to pull herself out of it eneough to be able to answer the question.

''Because i want a job?'' Lucca replied. She mentally free-palmed herself the moment those words left her mouth. She could believe she realy said that.

Shiloh blinked. her face deviod of any expression as she stared at Lucca. Lucca gulped, it took her a second to realize what she had just said. Finally, Shiloh chuckled, and Lucca breathed out in relief.

''Ive got to say that's the most blunt answer i've ever gotten to this question,'' Shiloh remarked.

''But once again, why Salazar Tech in particular?''

After forty minutes of back-and-forth questions, it seemed like the interview was finally coming to an end. Shiloh asked all sorts of questions, from technical to general ones regarding Lucca's work experience and her years in college. Lucca felt she did a good job answering them, but only time would tell how good.

''Okay, i think we're mostly done here,'' Shiloh said as she closed the file in front of her that had Lucca's resume in it. ''Are there any questions you have regaeding the workplace or the job description?''

Are you open to f*****g your employees? Lucca wanted to ask, But for obvious reason... she didn't.

Even though Lucca initially didn't even care about getting the job, now she had some incentive to make her a little more serious about it. She still didn't give enough shits to have questions, but she wanted to show Shiloh that she was intersted and dedicated.

''Can you tell me a little about the goals that you've set for the company this year?'' Lucca asked in her serious business tone.

Shiloh nodded, seeming content with Lucca's question before answering it in depth.

''I have one last thing to discuss with you'' Shiloh began. ''I've had a couple of recent graduates that started here but left pretty soon to join bigger companies. So i want you to convince me why i should hire you.''

''If that's been the case--'' Lucca paused ''--then shouldn't you convince me to stay if i get hired?''

Shiloh raised her eyebrows in suprise, she was probably expecting Lucca to go on about how loyal he was and other similar qualities. The last thing she expected was for the young woman in front of her to turn the question around on her.

Shiloh was impressed. Even though Lucca didn't have has much work experience as there were other candidtes with better grades...there was something about Lucca Castilo that intrigued Shiloh. She gave off an air of confidence and maturity way beyond her years. She seemed a little nervous in the beginning, but as soon as the interview started-- she was on point with every question that Shiloh asked.

Shiloh belived that she was a decent judge of character and that he could diffrentiate between a good person and a bad one. which was something important that she was looking for in her employees. This is why she wanted to do the last rounds of interviews herself. But Lucca confused her. Shiloh felt like she can't analyze her enough to make any kind of assumption about her. And that frustrated Shiloh.

When Shiloh was at work-- she maintained herself as professionally as she probably could. She was extremely business-minded, and there was nothing that could usually side track her. But with Lucca.... a part of her couldn't help but think from a different perspective.

Shiloh hadn't missed the was Lucca's eyes were taking her in right at the moment she entered the room. The only reason Lucca didn't notice that Shiloh was doing the same was becauce she was too distracted due to the initial shock.

Even though Shiloh knew never to mix work with pleasure-- she was still human amd she couldn't help but internally admire how gorgeous the woman infront of her was. Lucca's long hair looked so soft that Shiloh immediately wantedto run her fingers through them. Her plump lips seemed so kissable made her c**t wet in her pants.

Had they met under a different circumstances...Shiloh would be all over her, ready to take her home and appreciate her all night long.

''Interesting'' Shiloh finally said. She got up from her chair, bringingher hands forward for the other woman to shake. '' i think this concludes the interview. i'll be staying intouch with you.''

The last sentence brought a hint of smirk to Lucca's lip, as she gripped Shiloh's hand firmly Thier eyes were fixed on one another's and the handshake lasted longer that what would usually considered normal. if there was anyone else in the room, they would have without fail noticed the thick air and s****l tension that was flowing between the two women.

''I would really like that, ma'm''

Later that night, Lucca got an email from Shiloh Hansley herself.

She got the job.
