Born and raised as Richard Leopald Junior, Oliver spent his formative years enslaved to an abusive household. He was often beaten, deprived of food and made to do many chores from laundry to scrubbing the floors. He was the only one of his siblings not allowed to go to formal schooling and his mother often complained of how hard it was to raise nine children as a single parent. She invited a wide array of men into Oliver’s life with varying personalities. She expected them to help rear the household but on many occasions the relationships ended in a***e, right infront Oliver’s very eyes.
