4 YEARS BACK
Delhi: Ichan Designers Head office.
“Excuse me Madam. I need to pass some files to HM of Gokul high school Mr.Raghav murthy who came to attend the meeting here today.” After knowing that HM left for the meeting before she submit reports in his office in school from his PA, she had no way but to come directly here getting the address from him.
She was so unsure of coming their when the gracefully dressed receptionist studied her simple modest attire and smiling face with raised brows. It all seemed so unnatural and foreign for Sara.
After explaining her purpose to the watchmen, he let her in taking her sign and time in register. Few people lurking in waiting area looked super rich and gawked at her when she entered inside. The place is so big and extravagant to be true. She felt so out of the place. She just wished to be out as soon as possible.
So she braced herself and masked her nervous face with small smile and stood confidently in front of the receptionist.
“May I know your name and identity Miss.?” Her tone almost curious and the fake half smile didn’t help Sara to easy her nervousness to the least. She felt as if the receptionist doubted her to be lost and came here.
“My name is Sara, I work in same school. This is my ID.”After studying the ID she called someone from her interphone. “Hi Prathiksha, someone working in GHS came to submit some files to Mr.Raghav Murthy. Can I send her to your floor?........Yeah….Okay.” After listening keenly to the conversation, Sara hopefully smiled at the receptionist.
Typing something in her laptop without even glancing at Sara she said “Go to 28th floor and meet Mrs.Prathiksha”.
Thanking the lady Sara dashed to the right side finding the elevator opening signal. The lift was spacious and the buttons were fancy. After fidgeting with the buttons and pressing 28 she huffed with relief once the door closed.
Checking her reflection in mirror she removed the sweat beads on forehead with the end of her saree pallu.
Upon reaching the said floor she made her way to only person behind the desk she saw on that area.
“Excuse me, I’m Sara. The receptionist told me to.…” before she even complete her words the lady in question stood giving quick glance at Sara made her way to the office walking and talking so swiftly that Sara struggled to keep up with both.
“Please follow me Miss.Sara. The meeting will start in 15min. The people from others as well as your institutes arrived early so I made them sit in board room. Please make it quick because all the trustees will arrive soon and they hate unwanted disturbance. It’s for your own good only I’m telling. You can go in through this door. By the way your institute is seated on 4th row.” Giving her a small smile and thanking Sara entered the dimly lit room and desperately searched for the wanted face keeping the ladies words in mind.
“Miss.Sara are you telling me you AGAIN did the work which I gave for Mrs.Shakunthala?” the guilty look on her face conveyed the answer he needed so giving no chance for the excuses which she about to come up with he dismissed her telling “The meeting about to start so you go now I will deal with you both later.”
Nodding her head she silently dashed out. Once out she breathed in relief and searched around for the exit.
While following the lady she noted the way to use it for exiting but it seemed all the directions had same signs and doors. So praying to god she made her way only to find fire exit.
Thinking she is out of the boardroom that means out of danger, so she thought of making her way out using steps only.
Once out of the GF stair door she greeted by the unimaginable green garden. Surrounded by only concrete and gypsum boards for so long she finally felt like breathing after seeing the naturally beautiful shades of green.
Nature is the symbol of peace it has the power to calm down the restful souls. She felt alive after ages smelling pleasant aroma of various different flowers.
“So someone does have some brains and gave some space for this innocent creature also.” Smiling so contently after what felt like ages she studied all the gorgeous flowers and different types and shapes of bushes, trees she walked slowly mesmerized by the scenery forgetting where she was and on what she is stepping.
Before she even grasp the situation she heard the loud click sound making the water pour from all the 4 directions giving her a mini heart attack. In the processes of desperately searching for the way out she lost her foot due to a dried branch bruising her sandal clad foot and fell flat on her stomach on the grass floor. The force of the water was so intense for her to take and drenched her completely from head to toe within seconds.
“Hey Krishna!!! What is happening?” she felt like crying after seeing her pitiful self. “OMG! She is a mess!”
In all this drama she didn’t notice the eyes as black as night sky following her all the movements and taking the pleasure it is offering.
……
Iyra Rajvir Singh hates to attend stupid meetings like the one which he had to attend now because of his Grandfather’s absence in the country. He has so many other important things to do than sit and listen to the old nags begging for his money. Even if they don’t ask still IMPERIAL is going to donate the 20% of the income to trusts the rule made by Mrs.Pushpala singh, his grandmother. But why they are simply doing all this meaningless meeting is still something which he yet to understand.
Knowing he cannot escape this dammed meeting, a series of profanities left his mouth. To avoid the possibilities of him killing those annoying old men he took Dev along with him to Mr.Ichan Singhan’s office where the meeting is taking place.
Once entering the office premises Iyra went to the garden telling “I badly need a smoke now, you go on I will join you later”.
“You have only 10 minutes to get your ass there, you heartless cheater.” Dev left for the meeting knowing very well that his jerk of a friend not going to come anytime soon after whisper yelling at the shaking head with a rock back.
Once out in the garden from the entrance gate taking out his cigar he was about to put it in the mouth before he heard the creak sound from the fire exit doors which is diagonally opposite to the entrance door.
The figure that followed immediately turned to the right, due to many small trees and bushes he was unable to catch the glimpse of her face. He was about to carry on with his work when the small tinkling sound of glass bangles gained his attention again.
He made his way towards the figure to tell her to get lost from there dumping the cigar in the dustbin with annoyance. But once the two bushes are cleared his fell on the most slender and slim back he ever laid his eyes on.
He was always surrounded by the beauties in his life be it in the office or in official parties who threw themselves at him because of his looks and money.
Love and lust had no difference in his eyes which is a big waste of time. He had his fair share of girls when he wanted to annoy his Grandfather but that lasted before he even entered the business world completely.
For him “Power is everything and power comes from money and knowledge which needs time” so he gave all his time to it which made sense. And he found so many other things to annoy his Grandfather.
He knew he can get anyone with his looks and power so never cared about girls. To even make him glimpse at their side made girls so proud and happy that added to his arrogance. According to him there is no such person in this world who can take his interest to make him follow them or rise the desire to have them.
The lassie in question had her back facing him was in her own world touching and feeling the delicate colorful flowers. Clad in simple peach colored cotton saree, few glass bangles on both hands and a pair of sandals cladding her tiny feet looked like a lost angel to him.
What intrigued him the most is, her jet black thick wavy hair held by a sing clip at the center of her scalp reaching till her mid thigh. Is it humanly possible to have such beautiful and long hair? He wondered.
