Sadhana changed into the salwar suit that was arranged in the penthouse. It was a light blue salwar suit that fit her size perfectly. She sat on the couch, thinking about her decisions.

Am I taking a good and valid decision?

How will it affect my life?

Am I really a good fit for him?

And Grayson-what is he? What trauma is he facing?

Am I able to handle him?

From yesterday, she could feel that Grayson was like a five- or seven-year-old kid waiting for his mum.

But what happened to his mum? Are their parents alive?

Nowhere had she seen anything about their family in articles or business news.

She kept thinking. Her stomach was growling since morning, which she ignored.

She received a message from Rowan asking her to come to the 23rd floor, Legal Room 3.

She reached the room and saw Rowan sitting with a stern face and tight jaw, talking to someone over a call. Seeing his dark eyes made her shiver. When he saw her, a smile appeared on his face, but it didn't reach his eyes. He signaled her to sit on the opposite chair.

The legal team of eight members left the room after she sat down.

Only one legal person with grey hair sat beside Rowan, waiting.

Rowan pushed the file towards Sadhana.

Sadhana started flipping the pages and saw that it was a sixteen-page contract.

Everything was included. It looked normal to her eyes, nothing complicated.

Only a few things caught her attention.

From today, she would stay with them in their house.

She must take care of Gray's emotional issues.

Rowan would maintain distance until she allowed him to get intimate. Same room, but distance would be followed.

Everything would be followed according to protocol.

Other things looked very normal.

Nothing related to breach or negative compensation.

So she signed the document and forwarded it to Rowan. He also signed it.

The advocate took the file and left the room.

Rowan got up and came towards Sadhana, gently tucking her hair behind her ear, and sat beside her.

"Sadhana, I know how your mind is thinking about this marriage. But believe me, I won't cause any discomfort to you."

Sadhana just nodded with a smile.

"And we will keep the marriage a secret for now because of some security concerns."

"I already read that, sir. You don't need to worry about it," Sadhana replied.

Rowan said, "You can call me sir in meetings or if people are around us. But no need to call me Mr. Smith or sir in private."

She nodded as her alarm rang for the 2 o'clock meeting. She noticed it and informed him about the meeting.

Meanwhile, the door opened and Grayson entered the room.

Sadhana was about to get up from the chair, but her vision blurred and she was unable to stand straight. Gray noticed it first instead of Rowan. Rowan was reviewing the details for the 2 o'clock meeting handed over by Sadhana.

Gray crossed the room in four steps, caught Sadhana, and made her sit.

With worried eyes, he asked, "Mum, what happened? Are you not well? Doctor-where the hell is the doctor?" He started panicking and talking nonstop. His face was full of tension and sweat, even in the chilled air-conditioning.

Rowan grew worried seeing them and was about to call a doctor.

Then Sadhana opened her mouth and said in a shivering voice, "I forgot to eat. Nothing much to worry about or call a doctor."

The Smith brothers stood still on hearing that.

"What? You didn't eat from morning, Mum?" Grayson questioned.

"No, from yesterday morning. I was busy with so many things-first day at the office," she tried to complete the sentence.

But Gray's temper started rising after hearing that.

He couldn't show his anger to his mum, so he just left the room with dark eyes, telling Rowan to pick her up and come to the car. "We are taking Mum to our home now," he said in a low tone and left the room.

Rowan asked her permission to take her in his arms in bridal style.

She nodded.

They left through the private elevator.

At the private parking lot, the cars were lined up. Rowan was making her sit in the car and closing the door before she could talk.

BANG - a sudden loud sound.

A big one.

Someone shouted, "Gun!"

Sadhana was about to open the door.

Rowan immediately locked the door after seeing her action.
