Everyone moved according to the captain’s direction. It felt like orders followed blindly. The captain’s expression did not give out anything about what he was thinking. At first he made them move fast to cover up some of the grounds, he came to a small clearing and dropped made them arm themselves stationing the each individual in different sections of the place.
He guided them to move in positions which would be beneficial for them to defend themselves for a long period of time. For Captain Deon this is becoming a scared yet a last string holding situation. He dreaded the realization that all of them will die in this place but he still wanted to grip onto the thin rope and make sure to buy some time to the second group reach the west camp.
