On the other side Rosa’s eyes flew open. Her eyes wide awake, she blinked to remove the burn in her eyes. A different scene greeted her. She saw the ground with her vertically in her sight. There was dried pool of blood in front of her. She was lying in front of a severed leg. She blinked her eyes to make the scene come to more focus. Rosa opened her mouth to release a breath of air.
Her body felt heavy. She tried to move her limbs first. She could feel her leg move; the fingers in her hand still had life. ‘Where am I?’ She felt a slight burn on the left side of her neck. Did I get cut?’
She could not hear any sound around her. It was blurring, Rosa shook her head trying to listen to what is happening around her.
A scene flashed in front of her eyes. ‘I was cut.’
