“Cassie, why don’t you join us?” Mom asked but I just smiled and watched her having a conversation with my father.
Although I’m not pleased to see his efforts and believe that he came to us without reasons, but seeing how happy my mother was makes me think maybe it’s time for me to reconsider my dad for the last time. I know he hurt us before, but I can’t keep carrying this grudge against him.
“Cassie. Are you not hungry?” she questioned me.
I shook my head and replied, “No, mom. Thank you.”
