Cassie’s Pov
“Are you alright ma’am?” The maid asked me after giving me tea.
I nodded to her and said, “Yes. I’m just having this weird feeling inside me. But I’m fine.”
“Maybe you ate something that made your stomach bad. Do you want me to grab you some medicine that will help ease the pain?” The maid offered.
I shook my head and changed the topic, “Where is my husband? Is he at home?”
“He’s at his study. He didn’t eat breakfast and I think he’s not going out until tonight.”
“What? Why is he skipping food?” I asked.
“Today is his mother’s death anniversary.”
I suddenly stopped because I didn’t know about that information not until the maid told me so. I take the tea and drink it before sighing and turning to the maid. “Can you tell me about his mother?”
