Vanessa's POV “What’s wrong?” Estelle asked, setting the cutlery down on the table. “You have been so quiet ever since you came back from the store.” I glanced up at her, then tucked a strand of my hair away from my face with a small smile. “Actually… it’s nothing. The cab broke down, and I had to walk to the store. That’s why I took so long. But it’s fine. Let’s just eat.” I changed the topic.
