Everyone had gathered at the bottom of the entryway balcony for Annie's grand entrance. For years, her grand entrance was all she could talk about. For humans, it would be things like a debutante ball or a sweet 16 that they'd use as a way to celebrate their coming of age or coming out. But for members of the pack, coming out was after our first transition. Some of the wolves, like Annie, celebrate to the fullest, while the rest of them, like Aurora, will celebrate with just her family.
Charles had let go of Aurora's hand and disappeared into the crowd. From where Aurora was standing, she could see Annie's mother and Marcus off to the side of the club, braced in each other's arms.
And Charles had gone to stand at the bottom of the staircase by the entrance.
