If she isn’t wrong. Then she is getting wedded off, to that very Duke aka ML of the story. This was the time when Han Mei Ling found an opportunity to leave her abusive family behind and start a new life. She had high expectations from her new life, from her husband and her in-laws, but all in vain as her new family wanted her dead.

As per the original story, Han Mei Ling and the entourage holding and taking care of the bridal sedan waited outside the Duke of Jiang’s Mansion for the whole day, while Han Mei Ling waited for her groom to come and receive her, with nervousness.

But as the wait prolonged and ML didn’t come then in order to avoid the shame and humiliation, Han Mei Ling had kicked her own sedan chair, then made her way inside the Duke of Jiang’s Mansion on her own.

That was the turning phase of Han Mei Ling’s life. As all her expectations, all her wishes had shattered into countless pieces. This was the moment when she chose to take a stand for herself. The moment, she vowed to fight against this ruthless World, till her last breath. To attain a peaceful and joyful life.

After all, it was written in her late mother’s diary; ‘to never bow, to never break in front of anyone, in her life. To fight evil, till her last breath.’

And it was this spirit of hers that attracted Ning Tian Cheng towards her. Plus, she was indeed a beauty, the rare one. And in order to hide this beauty of her, her father (not the biological one though) implanted this scar on her face.

Alright. Time to describe the MC aka Han Mei Ling.

As we all know, MC’s name is Han Mei Ling. She is the daughter of the Han family, the family which is famous in Zhenjiang for its exceptional medical skills and rare talents in the field of medicines.

Even the Pharmacy City and the Medical City of Western and Eastern Provinces, acknowledges this fact.

MC’s mother had once used her medical skills to save the empress dowager of present, because of which, MC has been betrothed even before her birth to the seventh prince ( Duke of Qin, Tang Long Fei. )

MC’s mother, who has been exceptionally skilled and an asset of the Han family, due to her skills in the field of medical science, was praised all over the Divine Land.

But the very same World renown doctor loses her life, while giving birth to her daughter( which is a mystery, which will be revealed soon). And then the very same girl ended up being a useless, ugly girl, without any skills or medical knowledge.

As for the marriage thing. Only a stupid would like to marry such a person. And since, Duke of Qin wasn’t, the proposal just kept dragging on. To the point of making it a taboo topic.

But MC’s luck, or Duke of Qin’s bad luck, as he offended the emperor, slightly. Getting this wedding in return as both reward and punishment. And so the wedding was supposed to be done within a month.

And by the look of it, it seems like today is MC’s wedding day. The MC who is ugly and useless, only in name. [ How, well, that will be revealed later.]

Author was already fully covered with sweat. What should she do? She can’t get married. Not when she likes someone else. Even if it’s just a crush. She would remain loyal to that crush of hers.

Aish!!! Wait a minute. Just a minute. If the author isn’t wrong, then no one welcomed Han Mei Ling,to begin with. It was Han Mei Ling, who called her own doom, by kicking the chair. And she wasn’t that stupid MC.

She would rather die, then enter the Lion’s lair. So, with all those thoughts, she started to calm herself down. After all, if she won’t act rashly, like the actual MC, then there are chances that she would be able to get back to the Han Family.

Or maybe the Han family will expel her. But why fear, when the person with brains is here. She needs help. A support. But, from whom can she demand help?

Oh!! MC’s dear admirers. When will they help? Obviously. When she needs them.

So, to whom should she go, after being expelled. Well, later on, This MC gained many admirers. And since, it was the author who gave all the courage, knowledge and skills to MC after doing the in-detail search for six months, about medicines, poisons, auras, cultivation and all those things. Then, she can obviously impress MC’s admirers again, but this time as the author of this story of hers. What's more she can even stay with them.

The only person, who was out of league, is ML. This duke of Qin.Then, who should it be, the young general, the doctor, the medicine expert, the crown prince of the present, the royal guard.
