Gutted like a fish

Whenever moments like these happen, we lose time. We were a mess of limbs and blankets but I knew it was late, like always he was the first to break us apart and start getting dressed. He helped me up and dressed me like a doll. He always had this sad laugh and smile when it was time to go or so I thought.

I got the hint, I kissed him slowly and whispered to him again "I hate you." i then turned and walked away to the party that was slowly coming to an end.

When I walked back to the bon-fire, Ashley was making out with football player from the other team I had no idea how he got there LOL, and a group of girls drooling at Justin's feet. Again, he gave me an all knowing look and I wanted to crumble right on the spot.

I quickly yelled Denny's trip, I got a rousing HELL YES back. I started organizing DD's and making sure all those passed out were taking care of and took orders for those who couldn't go but needed food. Justin volunteered to drive me, Layla, Ashley and her date. I gave him a grateful smile which earned me glares from hopeful groupies.

As we pile into the car, I notice Ashton left me a hickey, a few actually that sick bastard claiming his territory. I quickly put on my flannel. It has a small hoodie, I use that to cover my neck and chest and zip up my leather jacket. As we drive, flashes of his body appear and I almost moan, a wolf howling brings me back to reality. I noticed no one in the car heard it but me and Justin. I think nothing of it but my brain tells me to remember that moment, as I have the internal war raging inside my head, Justin grabs my hand and puts it in my lap.

Justin: Your hands are cold, are you ok?

Monica: Ummmm, why do you think you can just hold my hand like you know me?

Justin: I'm sorry, honestly this is weird to me too, I just feel like a magnet drawn to you. Do you feel it too?

I had to remove my hand. I all of a sudden felt like my whole body was on fire, literally my skin was so red I could see it almost glowing like embers in the dark.

Monica: Justin, I need you to take me home right NOW!!!!!!!!!!

Am I going fkn crazy did Justin seriously just sniff the fkn air, what the hell did his eyes just go silver? I notice him gripping the steering wheel, knuckles bright white.

Ashley is watching the whole thing and gently squeezes Justin's shoulder, snapping him out of whatever trance he was in. He calms down and finally answers me.

Justin: I'm sorry, I'll take you right now.

I know I must be going crazy because he's driving 100mph and I don't feel a thing, its like I'm not in my body. I have a searing pain radiating from the tips of my toes to the ends of my hair strands. That's it, I'm dying, we made it home in record time. I jump out and Justin follows me. Ashley somehow stays calm and collected and just tells Justin she will take the car and call him later.

I have a strange urge to go into the woods behind my house, so I do. Justin is behind me a few steps back and quiet.... I feel insane I have colors dancing behind my eyes and a burn starting to take over my body. I finally fall on all fours and say fk it if this is my time take me now. Then a symphony starts in my head. I see the moment I was born. I see my parents smiling faces and my life literally flashes before my eyes, showing me everything I have ever done in my life, including being able to relieve all the moments I had with Ashton it was pure bliss. Tears sprang from my eyes and as quickly as it came, it left.

My current life left, I was then taken back to a time of my ancestors when the Gods and Godesses lived amongst their children. I looked hot, I was with my people and to my left was a beautiful warrior and to my horror it was Ashton. He had the most beautiful scars and tattoos. They literally made my heart ache. To my right, a flash of red caught my eye, it was Justin. How could this be how are these two gorgeous specimens be with me so long ago.

An elderly woman took my face in both her hands and told me to look it her, I did and to my shock it was my Nana Rosa, now I know it cant be true its not like she was a vampire or anything. At least I hope not. Her eyes seared into mine and she spoke to me in my head.

Nana Rosa: Love, look at me and get ready for what I am going to tell you. You are the daughter of the Moon Goddess our entire family was kissed by the moon. When I finally awoke, I felt like those fish who have their whole stomachs cut open and their insides removed.
