The Dream Core pulsed again.
This time the light was stronger, brighter than before. The entire tower seemed to breathe with it, glowing from the inside like a living star.
Isabelle instinctively stepped closer to Daniel.
“Is it supposed to do that?”
Daniel watched the sphere carefully.
“I have no idea.”
Elara stood calmly near the core, though even she looked more serious now.
“Yes,” she said quietly. “It’s happening sooner than I expected.”
Isabelle turned to her.
“What exactly is happening?”
The Dream Core pulsed once more.
A soft wave of energy spread through the room, causing the floating lights around them to swirl faster.
Elara took a slow breath.
“The Dream Core is waking up.”
Daniel frowned.
“You said that already. But what does that actually mean?”
Elara looked at the glowing sphere.
“For a long time, this world has been growing slowly—shaped by your thoughts, your memories, and your connection.”
The sphere brightened again, and more images appeared within its light.
Moments from Isabelle and Daniel’s lives flashed one after another—childhood laughter, quiet evenings, paths they had walked without ever noticing each other.
Isabelle felt her chest tighten.
“All these memories…”
“They’re the foundation of this world,” Elara explained.
Daniel tilted his head slightly.
“So if the core is waking up… what changes?”
Elara looked at them both.
“Reality and the dream will begin to move closer together.”
The words hung in the air.
Isabelle blinked.
“Wait… are you saying this dream world could affect the real world?”
Elara nodded slowly.
“Yes.”
Daniel let out a quiet laugh of disbelief.
“That sounds impossible.”
But the Dream Core pulsed again, stronger than before.
The tower trembled gently.
Suddenly, the glowing sphere expanded slightly, sending streams of light across the floor like flowing rivers.
Isabelle grabbed Daniel’s arm.
“Okay… that definitely feels real.”
Elara stepped closer to the core.
“This is the moment the dream chooses its guardians.”
Daniel looked confused.
“Guardians?”
Elara nodded.
“The ones who guide its future.”
Isabelle looked at Daniel.
“You don’t think she means us… right?”
Before Daniel could answer, the Dream Core released another bright pulse.
Two beams of light suddenly emerged from the sphere.
One moved toward Isabelle.
The other toward Daniel.
They both froze as the light gently surrounded them.
Isabelle felt warmth spread through her hands.
Daniel looked down in amazement as glowing patterns appeared briefly around his fingers like delicate threads of energy.
“What is this?” he whispered.
Elara smiled softly.
“The Dream Core has chosen.”
The light slowly faded, leaving Isabelle and Daniel standing quietly in the center of the room.
Everything returned to calm.
The floating lights drifted gently again.
Isabelle looked at her hands.
“The feeling… it’s gone.”
Daniel nodded slowly.
“But something changed.”
Elara walked toward them.
“You’re now part of the dream itself.”
Isabelle tried to process everything.
“So what does that mean for us?”
Elara gestured toward the transparent walls of the tower.
Outside, the dream world stretched endlessly—forests, mountains, rivers, and cities glowing beneath the night sky.
“It means this world will continue to grow with you.”
Daniel looked out at the horizon.
“Our thoughts create it.”
“Yes,” Elara said.
“But now you can guide it.”
Isabelle looked at Daniel and smiled softly.
“So we’re basically the architects of a dream universe.”
Daniel chuckled.
“When you say it like that, it sounds pretty cool.”
Elara’s expression softened.
“My role here is finished.”
Isabelle blinked.
“Finished?”
Elara nodded.
“I was only here to guide you to this moment.”
Daniel crossed his arms.
“And now?”
Elara looked toward the Dream Core one last time.
“Now the dream belongs to you.”
Her form slowly began to glow faintly.
Isabelle’s eyes widened.
“Wait… you’re leaving?”
Elara smiled warmly.
“The dream doesn’t need me anymore.”
Her figure slowly dissolved into soft light, drifting upward like glowing dust.
Within seconds, she was gone.
Silence filled the tower again.
Daniel let out a slow breath.
“Well… that was dramatic.”
Isabelle laughed softly.
“Just a little.”
They both looked back at the Dream Core.
It now pulsed calmly, like a peaceful heartbeat.
Daniel smiled.
“So… what do we do now?”
Isabelle walked toward the transparent wall and looked out over the dream world.
The glowing city near the river shimmered in the distance.
The silver forest stretched quietly behind them.
And far beyond the horizon, landscapes they hadn’t explored yet waited.
She turned back to Daniel with a bright smile.
“We start exploring.”
Daniel grinned.
“Together?”
Isabelle nodded.
“Always.”
The Dream Core pulsed gently again, as if agreeing.
And high above the endless dream world, the Tower of Light stood quietly…
Watching over a universe that had just begun.
