At the table, the other two guys stand up as she approaches. She is offered a chair. One of the guys comments, “We’ve only been in this place fifteen minutes, and you pick up the prettiest girl in the place.”
Scott answers, “Correction, she’s not a girl, she’s a cowgirl, and I’m not sure who picked up whom. It happened so fast.” (Similar to most men, he is oblivious to the inner workings of a woman’s mind.)
The four of them chat a while, replenishing the beer supply a couple times. The three guys are polite and pleasant. She hears from Scott’s friends that he is normally shy. They were surprised when he brought her back to the table. She takes turns dancing with the three. Most of the songs are western types or line dances; the guys do reasonably well.
