Epilogue: A New Beginning Six months later... Life had finally become normal. Or at least, as normal as it could be. The corruption scandal that had shaken the country was over. The people responsible had been arrested, and Aria's family company was slowly rebuilding its reputation. For the first time in years, Aria could walk through the city without constantly looking over her shoulder. And Ted? Ted had never been happier. "You're late." Ted looked up from his table at the café. Aria stood in front of him with a playful smile. "Only by five minutes." "Seven." "Five." "Seven." Aria laughed and sat down. Some things never changed. Across the street, another familiar argument was taking place. Minho was trying to convince Zuan that he could become a professional actor. "You can't even remember your own phone number," Zuan argued. "That's not relevant." "It is very relevant." Bobie nearly spilled his drink laughing. Jun-yu simply shook his head. The group had survived betrayal, secrets, and danger. Yet somehow, they still spent most of their time arguing about nonsense. Ted smiled. He wouldn't have it any other way. "You look happy," Aria said. Ted looked at her. "I am." Before she could respond, Jun-yu's phone suddenly rang. His expression changed. The others immediately noticed. "What is it?" Bobie asked. Jun-yu looked at the screen. Then answered the call. Several moments passed. Nobody spoke. When the call ended, Jun-yu slowly lowered the phone. His expression was serious. Very serious. "Jun-yu?" Ted stood up. "What happened?" Jun-yu looked at the group. Then he said something nobody expected. "I think we have a problem." The laughter disappeared instantly. "What kind of problem?" Zuan asked. Jun-yu took a deep breath. "The investigation wasn't completely finished." Ted felt a chill run down his spine. "What do you mean?" Jun-yu looked directly at him. "There was another name." Silence. "A name connected to the corruption scheme." Bobie frowned. "But everyone involved was arrested." Jun-yu shook his head. "Not everyone." Aria's face slowly turned pale. Because she knew exactly what that meant. Somebody had escaped. Somebody powerful. Somebody dangerous. And according to the new information They were coming back. The peace they had fought so hard to achieve was beginning to crack. And somewhere in the shadows, a new chapter was waiting to begin. To Be Continued...
