KAI POV The best night of sleep in my life. Damn. And it had to be sandwiched between them. I woke up to the unmistakable sound of alpha-level bickering, the kind that didn’t require volume to still shake the air with tension. I didn’t need to open my eyes to know what was happening. I could feel it. Derrick glaring daggers into Dalton’s smug smirk. Dalton pretending not to notice while silently challenging Derrick with his heartbeat alone. I sighed inwardly.
