Daniel’s POV

I admit I felt insecure when Gabby met Nate. I love my brother and I am aware of their love story, and I know I said I was OK with being Gabby’s second best. I tried to be supportive to them as I promised but offering to give them privacy and ensuring my mate that I won’t feel the pain from the mate bond if they were intimate in any way made my heart shatter. I know Cary felt the same as me and we both needed to be brave.

What Gabby did and said to me quickly recovered my hurt heart and it swelled with joy. That made my insecurities disappear. I can’t help but feel relieved and also even more in love with Gabby.

We are packing to go back to Blue Moon and I am excited. I missed my home and I missed my brother. He is my only living family. I also believe it will be good for our pups to live in a pack and start making friends. 

With Gabby being pregnant again it would be better to monitor the pregnancy at the pack hospital. 

“Are you sure you are ready to move back to the pack?” I had to ask Gabby

“Yes, I am. Are you having doubts? Tell me what’s bothering you” she said

“Nate” was all I said, looking down, unable to look into her eyes. I was selfish and I wanted her for myself. I wanted to be her best. Her only best.

“Danny, look at me please” she pleaded and I couldn’t deny her. “If you had asked me yesterday to move back home I would have had doubts. I would’ve been afraid that the pain from the past would be too much. But when I saw Nate and looked into his eyes I knew that I was ready. I have moved on and what I had with him was like a lifetime ago. I told you yesterday that you are my present and my future. You are my mate.” She circled her hands around my neck.

“I love Nate but I don’t feel awkward around him, and I know he is happy with Caroline the way I am happy with you. We are friends and all I felt when I saw Nate was relief to meet a long lost friend. But if you have any doubts I will avoid being alone with him.” She said and I buried my face in her neck, inhaling her scent deeply.

“I love you so much, Gabby. I know that I am selfish and I promised you that was OK with being your second best, but I am not anymore. I am jealous but not because I don’t trust you or Nate, but because I feel like I am not enough” I admitted

“I am yours, Danny. Only yours. In the present you are my only best and I am not saying this to make you feel better. This is the truth and your insecurities are groundless. You are all that I want and more. You are the father of my pups, our beautiful twins and the one that’s on its way. But I will avoid Nate, you are my priority.”

“No, Gabby. I trust you, I promise. I guess I was just worried that you don’t love me as strong as you loved him”

“You are right, I don’t…” my breath hitched when she said that “I love you more and I’ve loved you longer” she continued and winked playfully at me.

“You are so cruel” I whined and slapped her butt. She giggled.

We saw a portal opening in our backyard and Genevieve appeared. We went outside to greet her. 

“Hello, Gen.” Gabby gave her a hug

“Hello Gabriella and Daniel. Are you ready?” we nodded.

Genevieve made us go through the portal first with the twins. Then she moved Selene and finally she transported our stuff. Nate and Cary met us and informed us that we will have the betta initiation ceremony the next day. The girls found Zane and he offered to show them around. Selene was transported into a guest room equipped with monitors and IV’s that she was immediately hooked to. 

Dr Heart will monitor her vitals through a mobile app connected to her machines and three nurses will take turns to look after her, massage her muscles, bathe her, change her clothes, etc. Also only one omega was allowed to go in that room to clean twice a week. All of them gave a blood oath to tell no one what they see in that room or who was there.

We decided to go out for a walk and picnic with Nate, Cary and the pups. We walked through the woods and found a nice opening where we spread the blankets and took the food out. The kids were playing near us, they seemed to be bonding already.

“This is nice. The four of us together, just like the old times. I missed this” Gabby said while sitting next to me.

“I feel like I must clear the air about something before things become awkward for us. We all know mine and Nate’s story and I am grateful that Cary and Danny had our backs and supported us, helping us heal our broken hearts. But those times were a lifetime ago and I am happy with my second chance mate. I wouldn’t change him for anything. I am also happy for Nate and Cary. I know there wouldn’t be anyone better than her to be by his side.” I know why she said that. She thought that Cary would need to hear it too.

“I feel the same way and I can’t think of a better wolf to be next to Gabby than my brother and vice versa. I believe you two fit together perfectly and I am happy for the both of you” Nate confirmed and pulled Cary closer to him. I growled at Nate

“Gabby is still my trademark. No one’s allowed to use it” I said making the girls giggle and Nate lifted his hands up as a sign of surrender

“Sorry, bro. I’ll call her Ella then” he smirked at me

Soon it was lunchtime and we called the pups over to eat. 

“I will have a baby sister soon and she will be pretty like you” Zane told the girls.

“And we are having a baby brother soon, too.” Lorelei said excitedly

“He will be a strong warrior and will help kill a bad man” Jasmine added

“You are pregnant, too?” Cary and Gabby said at the same time and giggled while me and Nate smirked proudly

“Yes, we found out the same day we met at the meadow” Cary said

“OMG, we found out the day before. So we may be due to the same time give or take” Gabby squealed

“Pregnant buddies?” Cary asked excitedly and then they proceeded in sharing their pregnancy experience.

The next day the pack was full of life preparing for the betta initiation. Cary assured us that our help wasn’t needed so we went to our apartment to get ready. Gabby was wearing a beautiful spaghetti striped dress that hugged her breasts and waist and fell freely to her knees. The dress was white with dark blue ribbon on her waist with small twinkling stars. 

The girls’ dresses were the same model but Jasmine’s was dark blue with white ribbon with twinkling stars and Lorelei’s was white dress with dark blue ribbon. My suit was the same dark blue as Jasmine's dress with white shirt and my tie was the same dark blue with sparkling stars.

I pulled Gabriella close to me and kissed her neck.

“I can’t wait to take this dress off of you” I growled lowly in her ear and I felt her shiver

“Daddy, if you take mommy’s dress off she will have to go to the ceremony naked” Lorelei said and they both giggled. That made us both erupt in laughter. I kneeled and hugged my pups and kissed their cheeks.

“I love you, baby girls. I am so proud to be a daddy to the most beautiful girls in the world. Let’s go to the ceremony.” I stood up and took Gabby’s and Jasmine’s hands in mine and Gabby held Lorelei’s.

We went in the backyard of the pack and we saw that the pack was already gathered and ready for the ceremony to begin. Nate, Cary and Zane came next to us and led us outside to the makeshift stage.

The moon was full and the sky was clear. The stars were twinkling and I felt like all the gods were watching us. Maybe they really were. Nate stood in front of the crowd and all the chatter quieted down.

“Good evening packmates of the Blue Moon pack!” he said to the microphone. “Tonight is the night when our pack will finally have a betta again. The only betta I have ever wanted by my side - my brother Daniel Moore. Danny and his mate rejoined us yesterday and me and my Luna couldn’t be happier about it.” The crowd erupted in cheers.

“Daniel, please join me” Nate said and I took a couple of steps towards him. Cary stood between us holding a chalice and a silver knife.

“Do you, Daniel Moore, accept the role of betta of the Blue Mood pack? Do you vow to protect the members, to always defend the weak and be just to the best of your abilities? Do you vow to assist your alpha and luna to rule the pack with justice and build it stronger?”

“I swear,” I said proudly. Nate took the knife from Cary and cut his palm, I did the same and we joined our hands and let our joined blood drip in the chalice.

“Gabriella, please join us.”

“Do you, Gabriella Moore, accept the role of betta of the Blue Mood pack? Do you vow to protect the members, to always defend the weak and be just to the best of your abilities? Do you vow to assist your alpha and luna to rule the pack with justice and build it stronger?”

“I swear” Gabby said and they cut their palms and their blood mixed with the blood in the chalice.

Nathaniel took the chalice from Cary and took a sip, then gave it back to her and she took a sip as well. Then she gave the chalice to me and then to Gabby. 

“Blue Moon, I give you your betta male and betta female - Daniel and Gabriella Moore.” Nate said and we all held hands together. The pack was cheering and howling.

“Let’s go for a run and then you are welcome to enjoy some good food, drinks and music.”

The four of us, together with our kids, led the crowd to the forest. I pulled Gabby behind a tree to strip before shifting. We shifted into our wolves and Lorelei climbed on my back, Jasmine climbed on Calypso. We joined Atlas and Tsunami, Zane was on Atlas’ back. The alpha and luna stood before us and howled, Roden and Calypso followed and then the whole pack joined. Atlas and Tsunami took off towards the woods, Roden and Caly on their sides, just a step behind them. 

After the run we went to the tree where we left our clothes and shifted back. The rest of the celebration was nice, pack members came to congratulate us and welcome us back. I didn’t miss the looks some male wolves were giving Gabriella and that made me keep her as close to me as possible. 

When we retired to our bedroom, my possessiveness kicked in and as soon as the door was closed I pulled my mate in a hungry kiss. I didn't have time to waste, I unzipped her dress and it fell to the floor. I ripped Gabby’s bra and panties. 

“What’s gotten into you?” she giggled

“MINE” I growled possessively and released my aura. Gabby bared her neck in submission. Not because my aura affected her, she is my mate and I cannot command her, but she understood that I needed to make her mine now.

Living an isolated life, I didn’t have to worry about other eyes on my mate’s pretty face and delicious body, so I never felt possessive of her, but now seeing those males lusting over my mate made me wanna take their heads off. These feelings were new to me and I wasn’t sure how to handle them.

I kissed Gabriella’s neck and sucked her mark. I could smell her arousal, I guess she liked this new side of me. 

“Make me yours, Betta” she said and looked at me with so much lust that I lost it. I turned her around and bent her over on the bed. Her head was buried in the mattress, butt up. I slammed into her and she cried out in pleasure. I groaned at the feeling of her wetness dripping down her tights. 

I kept slamming into her relentlessly, my nads squeezing her buttcheecks and spreading them. My thumb touched her butt hole and she shivered. I coated my thumb in her wetness and slowly inserted it in her butthole, teasing it in circle motions. She came hard, screaming my name.

I kept thrusting into her as hard as I could, I pulled her up by her hair, making sure I wouldn’t hurt her too much. I bit Gabriella’s neck without warning and she came again. I pushed her back down, holding her by her neck.

“Who do you belong to?” I roared

“I am yours and yours only, my betta” she said screaming from pleasure and that made us both c*m together. I collapsed on the bed next to her and she snuggled next to me. 

“Possessive much?” she laughed and I couldn’t help but join her laughter

“This is new to me too. I didn’t like the males looking at you” I pouted and she giggled.

“But I have eyes only for you, baby. And I better not catch another she-wolf looking at you if she wants to keep her eyes” she growled lowly and climbed on top of me.

Our fun continued til the morning and we only had a couple of hours of sleep. Surprisingly we felt energized in the morning. We went to our twins’ room to get them ready for breakfast and meet with Nate and Cary.
