WAKE UP

***DEVIN’S P.O.V***

I was just sitting and was thinking about it all. I just hope that Myra will make it work. I just have my hopes for her. If she screwed up, then there is no way that I or anyone will be able to fix it.

As we both were over with our talk, we made our way to college separately. I went there to see where Penelope was. I don’t know where she is. I hope that Myra knows about it.

I was just thinking about it when I saw Chris. He was in front of me. “Hello Mr.Devin, nice to see you back at college. I thought that you would never come back, but here you are standing shamelessly. Why, why are you doing this, huh tell me? Don’t you have any dignity?”

He said I laughed at him and then said with a smirk “how will I leave this place when I have not found who had done that bad to my father and,, because it caused him what he is like.”

He made a puppy face as if he was hurt and then said with a laugh “You know what that is, the powers of werewolves that you will not be able to compete with if you get that, whatever or, however, you will think you will never be able to win from us.”

He said and then I got a bit angry. This is not the truth. We just can’t keep killing someone’s family whenever we want to. “You know what, that’s the difference between the vampire and the werewolf. We don’t keep on killing the family of others just for fun.”

“Seriously, so you are saying that I did that just for fun. No, I didn’t, and I wish that day it was in my hands then I would have killed him. I would not have left him like that and one more thing. Look, look around your surroundings, Devin. Maybe you will know who did that.”

I got a bit confused. He knows that I am a vampire and I know that he is a werewolf. He is open that he has not done that, but why do I feel that he has done that? I still feel that way.

I took a deep breath, I had to calm myself. I will find one way or another, but I will do that and Chris is my number one target. I went to the principles office.

“Devin, what was it how I have you here today?” He said while greeting me inside.

“Actually, I wanted a favour from you to organise a boxing match and make it compulsory and I will decide who will play with whom. Did you get that?”

I told him to look at me and then he wrote the letter, “Look, half of the work is down. I will organise it next week only and as soon as you send me the list I will make that official. Is there anything else that I can do for you?” I got up from the chair in frustration and, then made my way outside.

I was just thinking of a plan when Myra came. “What’s wrong with you? Didn’t I tell you that we would not talk at college?”

I asked her in anger, why doesn't she just understand this? She is definitely gonna make all of us get into a problem. “Stupid, she will see us when she is there the whole day. I am trying to find her but I am not able to do that. Did Guy get that? I don’t know where she is. She is not home. Also, I asked mom.”

What is it where the hell you are? Penelope? I just told her one little thing to just take care of herself and that is what she is doing. How come she can be so irresponsible and behave like that? I just don’t get that?

“Do you have even a bit of an idea about where she is?”

“No, I was with you and then when I came I was just searching for her.”

“We had to find her yesterday. She was attacked. Now I don’t want that to happen to her again.”

I said and then we both made our way out of the college when Chris was in front of us, “wait, why wait are you together Myra? You should. Not being with him, it’s just not safe.”

Chris said, seriously," we don’t have time for that. “Chris, please, I know who he is and the one who did that. Chris remembers this thing, that now we don’t have time for this time to pass of yours.”

She said and then I looked at her. She definitely is very defensive right now, which is only good for us.

“Look, I am not gonna talk about the things all around. I know one thing, that it is just not what you are thinking, but if there is something that I can help with, then I will do that and tell me.”

I looked at Myra and then said “We don’t need your help.”

“No, we do. The more people we will have, the more it’s going to be great. Why don’t you understand that thing?” I looked at her in frustration.

“No, I said we didn’t.”

“Devin, I am no harm to Penelope and you also know that I will never do anything to her. Please just let me help you. It’s for her and not for you.”

Then I nodded at him in frustration. It was then I didn’t have any other choice. It seemed like that. Myra had already decided that she wanted his help, so we will have it now.

“Cool then, but listen, I will not tolerate any sort of stuff like that. If you get that, if she is harmed because of you, then I will kill you.”

I said, warning, and it’s not a warning, it’s an ultimatum that I mean and I do mean it. I will kill him just in a snap if he tries to act oversmart or will do something that he should not be doing at all.

Then we all made our way to different places to find her but we were not able to. We tried to call her, but were not able to, so I got irritated.

“Where is she? I do not have a great feeling, I do not feel like it is. A great idea and I just don’t want that.” I was just thinking about that. Pearl is called Myra. She looked at it and then picked it up and then put it on the speaker.

“listen Myra, Listen. I want to tell you that mom took Penelope somewhere and I just have no idea about who it is. You got that. I don’t know about that, but I do have a feeling that something is happening.”

As Pearl said, I got scared. What is her mom doing with Penelope and what is it that she needs? What the hell is it? “Where is she Pearl?”

I asked her in frustration, “I will send you the address.”

“Thanks.” We saw the address. No no no what the hell she should not be there.

“What the hell is that I just don’t get that that place is not safe, not even for a bit, she will die.”

Myra looked at me with shock. “What are you talking about? Why would Mum take us to some place where we should not be? Why would she do that? Devin, listen, she is our mom.”

“I know, and I also don’t understand, that I just know one thing very well, that she wants her memories to come back and in that process she could lose her life. Also, I just hope that the process has not started.”

I am just hoping for that, because if that happens, then it’s not gonna be easy at all, not for me and not for anyone else to control it.

We have to. I was there before the time I called my mom.

“Mom, listen, I am sending you the address. Just reach there as soon as possible.” I sent the address to her

“Chris is also coming.”

“Great, we do need people.” I am scared. What if I just lose her once more? I am going to die. If that happens. I don’t want that to happen by any means that should not happen.

“Devin, what is it why we do need so many people, is everything alright so Penelope is gonna be okay?” I looked at Myra. What I would tell her now is that no, she would not be okay because of one wrong move and then she was going to die. “We do need that. I know that very well.”

I took a deep breath, I have to do something now. I just can not be like this that we just got there and then Chris asked “What is Penelope doing here?”

“Mom brought her here. Pearl told me she was here.”

“Here I am. Why are there so many people? Is everything alright?”

“No, nothing is alright. I just hope that this door will just open quickly,” I said, and then I tried to open the door.

“What the hell is it? I just don’t understand this at all. I am so frustrated right now.”

“Devin, this will not open the spell had started.”

“f**k now, how will I save her? not again? I can’t lose her again.” I was on the verge of crying when a woman came.

“Don’t worry, I know how to break this spell,” She said, and then came close to the door. Who was she? Then I looked at Chris.

“Yes, I called her. We needed to say that when we are coming to their territory you know that we are not allowed to enter here.”

“I don’t care, I just want to see her safe. That’s it. That is all that I want,” I said in frustration. I definitely don’t care about anything else apart from definitely that I only want this. That’s it.

“Cool then do it.” She took a lot of time. She took a bit of time and then she just broke it. We went inside and then climbed upstairs. There she is. As I was about to go. She held my hand and then stopped me.

“No don’t go there.” The lady told me she was the one who had done this to her.

“Why will I not just remove all this from her? This is not happening. She is going home with me.” I said in frustration," I am ready to kill anyone right now.

“It can’t be stopped. I have asked her mother and the girl a lot of times but they said that they wanted this. It’s with their permission”.

I am not happy with that this witch just tricked me. Then that’s it or else they would never have done this.

“Because you have not told them anything why you are doing this. Who are you with?” I asked her in anger? I was about to kill her as I grabbed her by her throat.

“Leave her, Devin, right not Penelope and I both. know very well that this is happening and what are the consequences.” I let go of the witch and then went to her mother.

“So you are telling me that you knew that she would die and you still get freed to her how can hog do thsi .”

I just don’t believe this. I know that she is not her real mom because if she had, then this would not have been the scene at all.

“Mom, how can you think she is? It’s just too risky.”

“What’s going on here Devin Penelope,” Mom went on. She was just asking me when she looked at her and gasped

“I don’t care I'm going to stop this at any cost,” I said. I turned to go there when mom said

“She will die if you stop this. In the middle of the process, she is stuck between her past life and her present. Let this be done because we can’t do anything now.” I kneeled down in front of her in frustration. How come this could happen to her? Why is she doing this?

I thought that she would try to find who the werewolf was who killed my father, but here she is risking her whole life and just trying to kill herself. How come she can just do that?

“If I had known that she was gonna do something, then I would never have let her go after talking to her.” Mom said. I got a bit of how they both talked.

“What are you saying that you both talked but why and how about about” I asked her. She looked at her and then at me.

“I came to your college today to meet the principal. When I met her, she asked me about her and everything, so I just told her that if there wanted something that she wanted to know, she could go home. If I knew that she would do that, then I would have told her everything immediately.”

Mom started to cry because of her this had happened because she was crying. I don’t know about any of the stuff now. I or everyone else just have to wait until she wakes up.

I was just sitting when Chris came and sat down next. He looked at me and said,

“I know that you hate me a lot, but I just wanted to tell you that I do love her and I can never harm her and your father. I have not done that, and Devin and I promise you that,” I said to him.

“I don’t know about anything, I just know that I want her to wake up.”

I am vulnerable in such a situation when I just can’t do anything other than sit just on nothing. I am just of no use to her. She needed me in this situation and what I did for her was just nothing.

This was just the thing that I should have taken care of. If I had done that, it had not been easy, but if I had done that, then things would have been a lot easier than I would have thought.

Just wake up Penelope. See you like this. I don’t like it at all. I wipe my tears. You also made me cry.
