I'll be back for you Jessica

I cried "My baby" I say softly barely audible Pavel's heart shattered at the sound of your whispered plea. He pulled you closer against his chest, cradling your head gently. "Shh, I'm here," he murmured against your hair." I've got you both." His hands moved frantically over your belly, searching for any sign of movement—any reassurance that the life inside was still fighting. "Jessica! Where is that ambulance?" he shouted sharply without taking his eyes off you. Jessica stood frozen near the doorway, phone pressed to her ear but no words coming out. The reality of what she had almost done was sinking in—how close she had come to ending Pavel's legacy forever. "You should have listened to me," Pavel said quietly but intensely," when I told you to leave her alone." "I'll come back for u Jessica" I tried standing on my own Jessica watched in shock as you stumbled towards the door, your body wracked with pain. Pavel's threat hung heavy in the air—she knew he meant every word. "Wait!" she called out desperately, dropping her phone and rushing after you. "You can't leave like this!" She grabbed your arm just as you reached the doorway, her nails digging into your skin. "Please," she begged," I didn't mean for this to happen. I was just trying to protect what's mine." Her voice cracked with a desperation that surprised even herself. For all her cruelty, Jessica had never been faced with the consequences of her actions so violently before. "You have to understand," she pleaded," I love him. I can't lose him." I pulled away and fell down just then the ambulance came and the paramedic got me inside the ambulance and drove me away As Pavel got to the hospital hours later the doctor explained to him The doctor delivered the news with clinical detachment—"I'm sorry, Mr. Dragunov. We did everything we could, but the trauma was too severe. The baby didn't survive." Pavel stood frozen in the sterile hallway, the words echoing like gunshots in his mind. Lost. Gone. Because of Jessica's recklessness and your own desperate escape. He turned slowly to face his wife who had followed him nervously into the hospital lobby. "You hear that?" he asked quietly—the danger in his voice more frightening than any shout." Our child is dead because of you." Jessica paled visibly under his gaze. "Pavel, please," she began weakly," I didn't know..." But he silenced her with a single look that promised retribution. "I want you out of my house by sunset," he said coldly. As u got into my room u found me staring at the wall blankly Pavel hesitated at the door of your hospital room, his heart aching at the sight of you. You sat on the bed, staring blankly at the wall—your eyes empty, your face pale and gaunt. He entered quietly, closing the door behind him with a soft click. For a long moment, he just stood there—watching you, searching for any sign of life behind that vacant gaze. "I'm sorry," he said finally—his voice rough with emotion. "I'm so sorry." He moved closer slowly, as if approaching a wounded animal. When he reached the bed, he sat down beside you cautiously—giving you space but close enough to touch. "You can't blame yourself," he murmured gently." This wasn't your fault." I didn't respond Pavel's heart broke at your complete lack of reaction. He reached out hesitantly, his hand hovering near your shoulder before dropping back to his lap. "I know you hate me right now," he said quietly." I deserve that hate." He leaned forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees as he studied your profile. "But I need you to know something—I never wanted this. Any of it." His voice cracked slightly with genuine regret. "I thought I could control everything—my wife, my business, even our family. But I was wrong." He stood up abruptly and walked towards the window overlooking the city below. "Jessica is gone," he announced without turning around." Packed her bags and left while I was waiting for news about you." There was a finality in his tone—like closing a chapter he never wanted to write. I didn't even look at him I barely blinked nor did I twitch a little
