Combat-Type Quest: Arachnid Ambush

With the first wolf subdued, Lucas turns his attention to the remaining creatures. He repeats the process, using his shadow clones to immobilize them one by one and then taming them through the shared connection of shadows.

As he works his way through the pack, Lucas notices that the taming process becomes easier with each wolf. His control over his Shadow Summoning skill grows stronger, and he begins to understand the nature of the bond he is forming with these creatures.

After successfully taming the fourth and fifth wolves, Lucas stands in the center of the clearing, surrounded by his new shadow wolf familiars. They look up at him with a mix of obedience and loyalty in their glowing red eyes.

The system chimes in once more, acknowledging Lucas's successful completion of the quest:

Lucas feels a surge of satisfaction as he absorbs the experience points and magic points, his status slowly increasing.

Lucas's shadow wolf familiars gather around him, their presence both comforting and empowering. He feels a newfound confidence in his abilities, knowing that he has not only survived his first encounter in the dungeon but has also gained a valuable advantage.

Lucas then Realized that with each level the experience requirement increases by +100, so the exact way to calculate the Leveling format is this: When he was level 1, Lucas needed 100 EXP to level up, however since he just completed the Quest he recieved 500 EXP all at once, so when the system took 100 EXP out of the 500 EXP that left him with 400 EXP. Now at that point he was Level 2 and it would require him to gain or accuire 200 EXP to Level up, so the system took 200 EXP of the 400 EXP he had. this leveled him up to level 3, but now he only had 200/300 EXP.

so Lucas figured that the Leveling Equation was (Host Level # x 100 EXP)

the next thing he noticed was that each time he leveled up his [HP] would raise by +20 each time. when he was Level 1, his Read [HP: 100/100], and now that he was level 3 his read [HP: 140/140].

and lastly he noticed that his Mana or [MP] increases by +10 with every level gained, so when Lucas completed the Quest just now one of the rewards was +100 MP, when he was level 1 his read [MP: 50/50] now it reads [MP: 170/170]

With his newfound strength and companions, Lucas sets off deeper into the dungeon, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. The dark forest gives way to a narrow, winding path lined with glowing crystals that emit a soft, pulsating light.

As Lucas continues down the path, he reaches a fork in the road. The symbols on the walls seem to be more frequent and intricate here, with glowing runes that pulse in rhythm with the crystals.

Suddenly, the ground beneath Lucas's feet begins to tremble, and a deep rumbling echoes through the tunnel. The shadow wolves around him grow restless, their ears perked and alert.

Lucas's instincts tell him that danger is approaching, and he quickly scans the area for any signs of threat. His Dark Vision picks up movement in the distance, and he sees a group of creatures emerging from the shadows.

These new monsters resemble giant, bipedal spiders, with eight legs and glowing red eyes. Their bodies are covered in a chitinous exoskeleton, and they carry large, venomouslooking stingers on their tails.

As the creatures draw closer, Lucas realizes that he is outnumbered, with at least a dozen spider monsters heading his way. He knows he must act quickly to protect himself and his shadow wolf familiars.

As the spider monsters approach, the system generates a new quest holographic message in Lucas's vision:

Defeat 10 Giant Spider Monsters.

Reward: 300 EXP, 50 MP, and a chance to loot rare spider silk.

Penalty for Failure: None.

As Lucas engages the spider monsters, he notices that their exoskeletons seem to absorb and disperse shadows, making it difficult for him to use his Shadow Summoning skill effectively. However, their glowing red eyes appear to be a weakness, reacting to sudden movements and lights.

Lucas realizes that he must use his speed and agility to outmaneuver the monsters, striking at their vulnerable eye sockets when the opportunity arises. He activates his Shadow Step ability, blinking behind a spider and delivering a powerful punch infused with shadow energy to its glowing eye.

The spider monster recoils, temporarily blinded and disoriented. Lucas presses his advantage, dodging its flailing legs and landing a series of quick strikes, chipping away at its health.

Meanwhile, Lucas's shadow wolf familiars work together to take down their own targets. They use their pack tactics, surrounding the spider monsters and biting at their legs, causing the creatures to lose balance and fall. Once on the ground, the wolves pounce, tearing into the monsters' softer undersides with their sharp claws and teeth.

The battle rages on, with Lucas and his familiars fighting side by side. Despite the spider monsters' numbers and the challenge posed by their exoskeletons, the team's coordinated efforts begin to turn the tide.

Lucas continues to exploit the monsters' weak points, using his enhanced reflexes and Shadow Step to strike at their glowing eyes with devastating effect. His shadow wolf familiars prove invaluable, drawing the enemies' attention and wearing them down.

As the final spider monster falls, the system chimes once more, acknowledging Lucas's victory:

With the immediate threat neutralized, Lucas takes a moment to inspect his surroundings. The fork in the road now reveals a clearer path, with the glowing runes on the walls pulsating with a brighter intensity.

Lucas decides to follow the path illuminated by the strongest runes, trusting that it will lead him closer to the heart of the dungeon and the Boss monster he needs to defeat.
