(CHAPTER TWO)
CAN A CONTRACT MARRIAGE BE THAT FAST?
Anna looked at her parents.
"I accept. After all, i can't afford to leave without my parents"
She said calmly.
Her father smiled in tears.
"Thank you so much for still being on our side. I know you are still angry"
He said calmly.
Her mother held her arm gently.
"Forgive us! It's not that we wanted it to happen. Poverty caused it"
Her mother pleaded.
Anna forced a smile.
"I forgive you both. After all, you made me who i am today. Without you both, i would have still be chasing my dreams or lost hope. I love you both and i will miss you both"
She hugged them in tears and they hugged her back.
So, her father took her to Mr John, saw him leaning on his car.
Anna looked at her father.
"Is that your friend?"
She asked quietly.
He nods then Mr John looked up and saw them, he smiled in satisfaction as he saw Anna.
His friend stepped forward and stood at their front with so much confidence.
"You came. Thought you wanted to act stubborn"
He said boldly.
Anna frowned at his words.
"Sir, i will not have you insult my father after bringing me here successfully!"
She said angrily.
Her father held her arm and gave her a sign to be calm.
Her father then turned to his friend.
"I only needed my daughter approval before coming. I wouldn't want her to feel uncomfortable"
He said calmly.
His friend chuckled.
"You still act lovingly even in a deal? What if she had said no?"
He asked and her father couldn't reply.
Anna noticed the tension and then speaks.
"Well now, i am here. Aren't we going to see that son of yours?"
She asked, even regretting why she asked of his son.
His friend smiled at her then nodded towards the car.
"Get in"
He said.
Anna hugged her father and whispers.
"Tell mum, i love her. Don't worry about my friends, i will call them"
She said and entered the car, giving his friend an annoying glance.
His friend tapped her father's shoulder.
"I will let you know when everything goes well. Hope you told her to behave because she might be punished"
He whispered before entering the car.
Anna waved her father goodbye as the car drove off.
While in the car, she received a message from her friends, Zoey and Mira.
Zoey: "Hey, Anna. Where are you? I have search your whole party but can't find you"
Mira: "Yeah. It's almost time we sing for you a birthday song. We can't if you are absent"
Anna sighed, another text popped.
Zoey: "Why are you not replying? Are you with a guy or something?"
Mira: "Ditch every distractions, girl. Come on"
Anna finally replied.
Anna: "Girls, i am absent for now"
Zoey: "On your birthday? Stop the joke!"
Mira: "How? You must be kidding, right?"
Anna smiled sadly.
Anna: "I mean it. I just moved out"
Zoey: "Girl, i don't understand you"
Mira: "What happened? Your parents made you angry to leave?"
Anna: "We will talk later. On our next meeting"
Then she kept her phone in her purse and looked at the window. She sighed.
So, the car arrived at a tall mansion, it was nicely painted and organized with tall muscled bodyguards. She was already imagining how she can escape from such mansion with such bodyguards around. She then knew that the mansion was highly secured.
So, she came out of the car, looking around the place with a bit admiration and the guards with irritation and a hint of annoyance.
Mr John then interrupted.
"Welcome to your new home, my daughter-in-law"
He smiled confidently.
Anna couldn't even believe her ears.
Anna looked at him.
"Um.. Sir, I am not even married to your son yet and you are...."
She was cut off.
"Have you forgotten? Contract marriage"
He said calmly.
Anna looked shock.
"Isn't...."
She was cut off again.
"Let's go in!"
He said calmly and already started walking in.
She was just at a place in shock. Me? Married already? Without proposal or anything? How?!.
All these made her shocked.
