Chapter 6: Give me Magic!

Nighttime.

"Nighty night son," Elizabeth whispered, kissing her child goodnight and closing his bedroom door.

Atlas, who was pretending to sleep, slowly opened his adorable eyes to see his finally super clingy mom go away.

"Finally some alone time. Where's the book I hid?"

Reneging below his pillow with his tiny and small hands. He picked up a thick book. "Yes....Magic. Finally, I got my hands on you....."

After an hour of reading, atlas closed the book without completion.

"God symbols. Mana. Elements.....fucking sweet!!!!. 1 year of waiting was worth it. Ohhhh.... this fantasy world didn't disappoint me. Let's start learning right away...oh my god, Magic! I didn't feel this hype in months.... I didn't get any cheat except having a royal bloodline...according to the book, me having a peak bloodline means I can channel enough mana to use 10 symbols.

Atlas sat up on his bed in a lotus position. his hyped mind trying to concentrate.

'The air around this world is cool and refreshing, maybe because of the mana. They are like an extra boost to the body system. Ok breath In.....Breath out...Breath In.....Breath out...and repeat.'

He continuously meditated for a full hour straight but didn't flinch or stop. He just concentrated and kept up on and on again. After four hours While he was meditating, he felt a small tinge of calmness within his soul. He recognized this special feeling. It was the same feeling when he got transmigrated by a huge rainbow ray. It was months ago but he could still remember it clearly.

Instinctively he tried to expand that tinge of calmness. As he tried tapping onto it, little by little he could feel his soul within his body. It was like finding out you had an extra body part as he could now see it, feel it and potentially embrace it. The feeling of peace and serenity starting to get more familiar and easier to embrace.

Within his mind, he was surrounded by rainbow colors all over. he felt like he was really in heaven. At that rate, he could get easily addicted to this feeling of total tranquility. he wanted to lose himself within this feeling. his body slowly losing its consciousness.

'.....no! I need mana! I need magic!!....' he thought. jerking himself out of his barely conscious state. with that, His body suddenly heated up. The mana within his body started to circulate all over his body.

" I did it!!!!!! " he shouted, opening his now glowing eyes.

"Well, that took long. It's 3 AM already. I still got time. Ok...The Next Step..."

Atlas had already remembered the symbols and tried to speak it but nothing came from his mouth. confused as to what was happening, he started reading the magic book again.

"Ohhh...I need to comprehend it....that will take a lot of time."

Atlas opened the book and started reading about the symbols. He started reading and reading, getting amazed at every page he turned, not because of the surprise of the unknown but the exact opposite, because of the familiarity between the meaning behind the symbols.

"I guess this is my cheat huh hahahahahaha....."

He took a small crayon and started to right symbols, but he didn't stop at 12 like others but he kept going and going with extra symbols which looked rearranged versions of the original 12. He wrote and wrote, finally stopping at 49 symbols.

"This is just a theory but, these symbols aren't what everyone thinks they are, which everyone calls God symbols. They are structural representations of an element, Like atomic structures and they don't just represent elements. Some also represent force, friction, magnetism.... Wow!!..is this a whole new discovery? If I spread out this knowledge, the world will boom in a new era.....Nahh...they are way behind literacy. They will think I am a mad man and try to burn me on a stick. As people are always scared of the unknown.

What I am defying right now are their culture, history, and beliefs. If I stand between them, I will not live long enough with enemies everywhere. And this second chance, I won't waste it on petty development for the greater good."

'I guess, from the beginning, my cheat was my past memories. NO op spells. No system. No immortality and stuff. But this, my knowledge and my brain. Let's use it wisely from now on.'

Back to the present...

Reminiscing his past a little, when he made the discovery of the century. Atlas was already proud. "Three years of continuous research and experiments.... It took a long way to get here."

He kept watching the floating symbols created through light magic. He did discover many symbols but he still didn't know how to use them efficiently. With the help of modern science from his past life and his active mind, it was indeed easy to discover those symbols even though it took 3 years. But using all the symbols with complete comprehension was impossible for now. He could create light, lightning, ether, and even gravity from all the right symbols placed together but it would be too minuscule in power, like the light, which he couldn't make more than a lite spark and some normal characters.

It wouldn't be worth a fart. What he needed was time. He didn't know how much but from the looks of the coming war and Humanities coming crisis. Strength is all he could count on, He had a family, responsibility, people that he cared about.

"Let's stop dilly-dallying and get back to work."

The working of magic is like coding, there are elemental symbols and there are command symbols. Eg: From the 12 symbols there are 2 command symbols, the force symbol, and the lane symbol, commonly known to everyone. The Force symbol is used for pushing or pulling the element and the lane symbol, used for controlling the direction of the element.

It was a simplified version of coding, where input and processor were our body and better the bloodline and brainpower, better the processes which could withstand high-level commands. And if not normally maintained, he would easily shut down.

So the Goal of Atlas was to figure out a way to somehow have the capacity to withstand the input and process the 200 or so Symbols. Every night it was his goal. He could research some more symbols, but according to his knowledge, he was in the end game. If he really wanted to comprehend every symbol he had to dedicate his whole life over which was impossible for him right now.

"It would have been easy if I had a system, wouldn't it?.....Wait!!!! Of course, I could make my own system to share my load of the processing. I could copy my brain and save it in a space symbol to connect it to an interface. My only job will be to input command and mana and walla....Done!!!.

It wouldn't be possible in my world but it would be possible here with magic. I just need to construct an advanced version of my copy symbol. From my estimate, it will take 6 months or more to totally copy a brain.

I may have made it sound easy but theirs a lot to be done in the middle....aaaa...too much work. Shouldn't this life should be chill and relaxing like the other isekai mc novels. I guess the reality is often disappointing."

The morning sun was already shining from his window. Already at his eyes.

Atlas was feeling wickedly sleepy and tired, but he wasn't worried he would get tired and affect his day, cause he had a neat trick on him, he always used it every morning, tired or not.

He closed his eyes, his position still the same. he started his deep concentration, tapping on the same rainbow-colored power within his soul. using it so many times, he was already adapted to using it and with mana flowing within his small body. it felt much easier than before. the feeling of being at peace coming back. he had named it peace aura for keep's sake and like the morning coffee. All the tiredness and exhaustion went puff, gone.

Fifteen minutes later...

Atlas took in a heavy breath of fresh air and puffed it out. his tiredness and stress coming out in a form of steam.

"New day, New me. " Atlas said with a smile.

But that peace was soon interrupted.

Bang!!!

The door slammed open.

"Son!!! Your mother and I are having another child."

'What the f**k!!!!!!!
