Somewhere in her brain, Vanessa knew it would be a good idea to go to sleep and try to remember what it was like to set an alarm. But then there were magazines to peruse and design blogs to drool over. Since the basement was finished, Vanessa couldn't get it out of her head that maybe she could actually be a designer. Her fingers couldn't stop visiting the websites for design programs at every university in the state.
She knew her mom wanted her to go to Bowling Green, where both she and Vanessa's father had graduated from. It wasn't that she couldn't study design there… she just found herself gravitating towards a smaller school that only focused on art programs. It's not like Van Epps is located anywhere important, anyway.
