“This is from St. John Hospital in Norway. Your fiancé, Mr. Hudson got into a car accident….” What? I can still hear the woman speaking on the line but I can no longer understand what she’s saying. Placing my hand over my chest, I breathed in and out to calm my nerves but it doesn’t seem to work.
I was breathing heavily and I gasped when I felt a hand on my shoulder. My eyes landed on my sister Veronica and her eyes grew wide upon seeing me. “Evie? Are you okay? What happened?”
I blinked my eyes and blow out some air before saying, “I have to go.”
