The rest of the day was a blur. We tackled the ballroom together so that we could quickly get all of the decorations in place. There were purple fabric streamers everywhere. Shiny purple fabric draped from the ceiling. The chairs were covered in silky purple and silver fabric. The table vases were rimmed with giant rhinestones, filled with large diamonds and white hydrangeas. All of the plates were silver. The napkins were the same purple as the chairs and the napkin rings had the same rhinestones as the vases. There were strings of large diamonds hanging from the chandeliers. Everything had to be purple and sparkly. Grady and I quietly parted ways after we finished decorating. I went home to dinner by myself. I’m sure he was preparing his house for his precious fiance. She’d be in town F
