A loud crash woke faith from her rough sleep. She looked around, eyes coming to rest on the clock. 3:47. God damnit. Faith walked downstairs as another crash caused the sky to light up. Thunder. f**k me it was only the storm. She sighed and went to walk upstairs, a figure on her porch stopping her in her tracks. She walked to the door and saw a white wolf sitting on her porch in the pouring rain. Caleb? She looked closer and saw that it was indeed Caleb. He sat looking straight ahead, as if he was waiting for something. She opened the door and he turned to face her, eyes betraying his shock at getting caught. “Get in here, now please.” He slunk inside dripping wet and looking down at the ground. He shifted to his human form and looked down on her apologetically. “I’m sorry to intrude…” “Didn’t I JUST say that stalking is bad?” he hung his head in shame. “is this really any way to show a girl you like her? Stalking her home and work?” faith was mostly being playful, but she was laying into Caleb. “I’m sorry. I was worried about you. I’m not sure how to stay away. Im drawn to you. I know this isnt what normal people do.” He sank down looking ashamed. “Its okay, we arnt normal anyways. But please, try to refrain from stalking me, try asking to hang out or asking me what things are going on in my life? That’s a better start.” Faith stormed over to the fridge and grabbed a cold water, throwing the bottle at him. He caught it and smiled. “Might I stay, and we talk then?” “Absolutely, you arnt leaving in this storm. I don’t want you to get sick. I think I have pants bigger enough for you. I’ll dry your clothes.” He smiled softly at her and she smiled back, breaking her tough visage. “Thank you.” “don’t mention it, it’s only because I think you are cute.” She gave him a playful punch on the arm. “Cute?” he grinned. “is that all?” “noooooo.” She waived for him to follow her and walked towards her room with him in tow. “but you have to ask to receive more.” “will you tell me what else you like about me? You kissed me earlier. What was that about?” Faith’s face went red. “Not yet.” She went to a drawer in her room and found pants for him. “first shower and get clothes on so you don’t die, then well talk. Bathroom is down the hall, I will be here. And hurry up. You are dripping all over my wooden floors.” “as you wish.” He did a half bow and walked off, pulling his soaked shirt off as he walked away. Faith fell back onto her bed, mind wondering to how she felt kissing him earlier. She shivered in pleasure. she wondered what it might be like to kiss his lips. She lay on her bed, day dreaming, her eyes once again heavy. Oh no, I’m tired. I have to wait… faith passed out before Caleb emerged from the bathroom. The sweatpants were riding low on his hips with nothing underneath. He walked into the room drying his hair and saw faith passed out on her bed. He smiled and tucked her in before disappearing out of her room. And exploring the rest of her house. He located the washer and placed his clothes into it so they would be ready for the morning. He walked softly towards the living room and settled himself down on the couch. He sighed as he relaxed. He watched a shadow creep past the window, and he growled softly. I don’t know what you are, but you aren’t coming in here. He rose and walked to faiths room where she was still peacefully sleeping. He transformed and curled up by her on the floor. She shifted softly in her sleep and her hand touched the fur of his shoulders sending shocks through his body. You are not exactly as you appear. But neither am I. Caleb closed his eyes and tried to find some rest. Caleb ran through the woods as fast as his four legs could carry him. He was breathing heavily, his breath coming out as puffs of steam. The cold air had left small frozen bits in his fur. He kept his eyes locked on the figure in front of him. The shadow was quickly gliding across the ground as it moved away from him. He howled in anger trying to get closer to the shadow. It flew over the water and Caleb skid to a stop on the bank. The figure turned to look back at him its eyes meeting his. He looked into the red eyes of the shadow baring his teeth. The shadows mouth twisted into a grin showing sharp pointed teeth. He could see something starting to take shape in the shadow. “What are you? What do you want!” The shadow just pointed at him, its nails long. It waived hits hand and he saw an image of a girl appear. Faith? “she is our savior, the one who can connect all the pieces. You have done well to watch over her, Greymoon wolf. She was wise to make you for the savior.” “Make me? What do you mean! You cannot hide behind a veil!” the shadow laughed and started to glide away. “Don’t worry young wolf! You are following your destiny to the letter. We will come for her when the time is right.” “You will do nothing!” Caleb shot up seeing red eyes flash from the corner before disappearing. Caleb moved around the room. The room was empty, the only sound was the soft rise and fall of Faith’s breathing. He looked to the clock, 615 flashing across the screen. He sighed and made his way to the bedroom door and walked down to the kitchen. He found eggs and bacon and started cooking breakfast. Destiny. What destiny?   Faith woke up under her covers when her alarm went off. Did that really happen last night? She looked around her room, it was clear. She walked downstairs and heard a sizzling sound from her kitchen. She walked in to see shirtless Caleb manning her stove. She stared at him open mouthed. His hair was messy and his eyes were an emerald shade of green. The sweatpants he was wearing were very loose and hung well below his waist showing off a hard “v”. She could see the outline of something else and looked away blushing. God damn. “Ahhh good morning. I hope you don’t mind me raiding your fridge and making breakfast.” Faith just nodded, burying herself into the fridge so she didn’t start drooling at the sight of this man in her kitchen. “So last night, you never told me what else you like about me.” She removed her head from the fridge and he was standing inches from her. She bit her lip and whimpered. He raised an eyebrow and took a step back. “I… uh…” “I think I can figure it out. I’m sorry if I’m making you a little uncomfortable.” “oh no, that’s not it at all… I’ve just never seen ah.. uh… body like yours.” “Oh?” he said smirking. He gave a little flex and she got red faced. He was leaning against the counter, watching her every movement. “Teenage girl hormones" she said under her breath before sitting down at the counter bar. He returned to cooking. “Teenage boy hormones aren't any better.” She blushed and looked down again. “I have superb hearing. Ten out of ten, best werewolf perk.” “Oh is it?” “no. The rocking hard body is.” Faith giggled and Caleb smiled. “Teenage boy hormones are worst, I assure you.” “Then why would you choose to stay as a teenage boy? You can age freely if you want too right?” “yes and no, but I like to learn and play sports. I wanted to learn as much as I can before moving on.” “Oh that makes since. How old are you?” “you never ask a gentleman how old he is.” Faith laughed. “I’m under a hundred.” “That’s good. I’d never be able to date a two hundred year old werewolf. My dad would kill me.” “You want to date an under one hundred year old werewolf?” faith blushed again as Caleb turned towards her passing her breakfast. “Would your dad approve?” faith looked down at her plate and played with her eggs. “No. He'd rather see me dead.” her tone was harsh. “I… I’m sorry.” He put his hand on her arm and she sighed. “Its okay… you didn’t know…” faith shifted in her seat wincing at the pain that still hid in her ribs. Caleb’s face became concerned. “Are you okay.” He moved around to her side of the counter. “I’m fine.” She said, shooing him back. “ its healing.” “What is? Show me.” His tone was demanding and faith sunk back a bit. “What is hurting you?” she stood slowly and pulled up her shirt to reveal an array of dark bruises covering her ribs. Caleb’s jaw became tight. “who? I will destroy them. Who did this?” “Caleb please.” Faith lowered her shirt and turned away. “this is not something you need to be involved with. Its beyond our current relationship.” She felt his hand gently caress her injured side. “I don’t deal well with abuse.” She felt warmth come from Caleb’s hand and travel over her injuries. “And I don’t want it to be beyond our current relationship.” Faith tremored with his words. “I… I don’t feel like we know each other enough yet.” “But you want to?” “Yes, I want to know you.” “Then let’s get to know each other. You lead I follow. Start where ever makes you comfortable.” “i find it hard to believe you would like someone like me.” “someone like you? You mean stunning? Attractive and smart.” “i disagree.” “thats just because you’ve not had someone show you.” Caleb ran his hand over her arm and she hummed in pleasure. “Its time for school.” He let go of her and walked towards her dryer for his clothes. “I’d like to hang out with you latter, when will you be free?” “after training, before patrol.” “Okay, I’ll meet you here? Is that okay?” “That’s fine, but in the meantime, text me?” “Absolutely. I like texting beautiful women all day.” Faith smiled and Caleb disappeared into her bathroom to change. She ate her breakfast quickly. She started walking towards her room, seeing Caleb emerge from the bathroom. He was blocking her path. She backed up into the wall pausing and blushing. “Uh…” Caleb slipped closer and lightly placed his hand on her hip. “You are so cute when you are embarrassed. Don’t worry.” He leaned in, lips inches from her own. “is it okay if i?” faith grabbed his shirt and pulled him against her. It was awkward but it worked. She felt his lips contact hers and her body trembled. He leaned her into the wall to steady her. He pulled back and ran his hand over her arm. “that was perfect.” “im going to go get ready, ill see you at school?” she moved away shakily. “yeah ill see you there, thank you for brining me in from the rain.” she smiled as she heard Caleb leave. Faith got to her room and undressed looking at herself in the mirror. She ran her hand over the soft, clear skin of her ribs. Wow. He is magical. She smiled at the thought of Caleb as she got dressed and prepared for her day.
