The Pack

I woke in a big room. A really big room. I checked my... well, body. Well, you would too if you had been turned into a monster the night before! Thankfully, it was normal, and also thankfully fully clothed. Not a bit of fur in sight. And no tail. Eventually, I decided to get up. I walked around the room, painfully aware of my stomach rumbling loudly. How long had it been since those cookies..?. I stopped by a door. Would it be open..? I twisted the handle. It opened. Grinning in my success, I walked down the rickety stairs to what I guessed was a kitchen. With a fridge and several cupboards. I opened a door at random, to see it stuffed with sweet food. Cupcakes, cookies, sweets, even chocolate! I quickly grabbed a plate from the neat stack, and piled it high, opening more cupboards. One was a protein, one carbohydrate, one with fruit and stuff etc. Eventually, two full plates and five cans later, I somehow staggered up the stairs to my... Room. I stuffed herself with the food, eating as I would a meal, saving the sweet stuff until last. Once I was stuffed and had put the last bite in my mouth, I froze. I could hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I did the first thing that sprung to mind. With the crumbs all over my bed, pretending to sleep was not an option. I quickly hid, in the giant walk-in wardrobe. The footsteps stopped momentarily outside the door, opening it. Then, the person walked in. Peeking through the keyhole, I could just see a little bit of the person. It was a guy, with longish black hair, golden wolfish eyes and no tan at all. He was wearing a green day t-shirt, jeans, converse with a thin necklace with a crescent moon charm around his neck. And his eyes were almost black rather than gold with rage. I watched him, as he walked across to my bed, looking at the plates and crumbs. then he pulled back the covers. Obviously, there was nothing there except the pillow I had slept on. Then he dropped to the floor so suddenly, that he was a blur. I blinked. Did he really just do that? He checked under the bed, pulling out suitcases - My suitcases... Okay, that was a bit creepy - to check more thoroughly. Then he got up, equally as quickly, and walked quickly over to the cupboard I was hiding in. I cursed under her breath, and hid in a rack of clothes, my heart thudding so loudly, I would bet he could hear it. He entered the cupboard and took a deep sniff. Wait, what? Did he sniff? He kept on sniffing, to the rack that I was hiding in and watching him. Then he grabbed my arm and pulled me out. "What the hell?" I yelled at him, shocked. "Where am I? Who are you? Why am I not home?" The guy just stood there, his pale long fingers gripping my arm. When I had finally stopped ranting, he just pulled me along down the stairs. Wow, this guy had manners. Once we got to the kitchen, He walked past it to a door I hadn't noticed. He pointed to it. "Go wash, you stink." He said to me in a smooth voice. "Gee, thanks for welcoming me," I said sarcastically, opening the door. Then, I caught my breath. The bathroom was amazing. I immediately stripped, and got into the shower. I just stood under the spray for almost five minutes, until I heard a tap at the door. "Do hurry up, you need to meet the rest of the pack." said the guy. Pack? I shrugged it off. "Will do" I yelled back and grabbed the shampoo. Almost an hour later, I finally forced myself out of the shower to the loud knocking on the door. I ignored it like I had been for the last half an hour. I walked slowly over to the mirror, where my clothes lie. Or had. Now they were gone. I blushed. That means someone was in the room... That was when I noticed the other set of clothes. They were never mine... They were black jeans, a night sky blue t-shirt with a crescent moon on it, shimmering silver, a black jacket and black converse. Quite a lot like that guy's outfit. I was only missing the necklace. And it was very black. Once I had put it on, I felt in my pocket and sighed. Of course, there was the necklace. I quickly pulled on the clothes, noticing how nicely they fit me along with the clothes. It was a bit freakish how much these people knew about me. I considered putting the necklace on but decided against it. I didn't want to submit to the people yet. I walked to the door and unlocked it just as the guy was about to smash it down. He stopped in his tracks, looking surprised to see me alive. I thought back to the last... Er.. thirty minutes. I had been silent, and the water had been running. Maybe he thought I had drowned. I grinned at that thought. "Not dead yet," I said. The guy just grunted walking off, expecting me to follow. Humph. I surprised myself by following. About five minutes later, we arrived at the 26th door. I had counted. The guy stopped and turned around. "Go in there." He gruffed. I hesitated. "Will you come to?" I asked childishly. He just looked at me like I was mad. I probably was. But I still had one more question nagging in my mind. "What's you n-" I begin, but the guy opened the door and pushed me in before I could finish. The room was massive. The walls loomed so high that it hurt my neck to look at the ceiling. The lower walls had benches over them all. Those benches were filled with people. But that wasn't what scared me or intimated me. All those people all looked the same. Not the hairstyle, or the skin tone, but the looks. All of these people had golden eyes, tight looks and wore the same clothes, down to the silver necklace. I slid my hand into the pocket and gripped the moon shape. Maybe I should put it on. But again, I put it off. I didn't want to look exactly like these people yet. My gaze eventual settled on the higher benches. These people were the only ones who didn't look exactly like everyone. They wore black and silver robes, but most of them had a necklace, except the one on the highest bench. His robes were black and gold. There was an aura of power around him. His gold eyes were settled on me. Eek! About a minute after I entered the room, the elder guy (with the aura) put his hands in the air. Instantly, the pack fell silent. All at the same time. Not normally, like a couple at a time, all at exactly the same time. The elder stood up, still looking at me. He cleared his throat and finally tore his gaze from me. Thank God. He was getting a little creepy. "My pack" he began. Only with those two words, I was stuck. Pack? That word was there again. The elder continued. "This child," he said, pointing to me "has been found and captured by our best hunters, the Stanley Twins." He clapped and the pack joined in. All at once. It was almost like they were hypnotized. There was something fazed about there eyes... The clapping stopped. The elder spoke. "The question is... What to do with her?" The elder stopped. His eyes became fazed again. Then he focused. He didn't speak again. He just nodded to the guards by the door that I had missed. They slipped a wristband on my wrist without me noticing. I felt myself slip away slightly. The elder smiled. "Welcome to the pack," He said.
