Destined mates

Chapter Eight

It's been six year since Chris took over as Alpha at Fullmoon pack and became the CEO at Maxwell Industries. He's now 24 and still hasn't found his second chance mate. He's kept himself busy with work to even think about relationships and picking a luna for the pack. He's a big believer in seconds chances and the wolf laws of having your mate become luna of the pack.

He'd just received an invite to Hilltop to celebrate Mark taking over as Alpha. He's been waiting for this day to come. Now that Chris and Mark are new Alphas of the packs, they will have to make a new treaty or become rivals. The land at Whitetop has never been used since the fire and Chris would like to give the neighbouring packs, Riverdale and Oceanside, the chance to use the land for themselves, as he new they would be attending too and bringing there un-mated daughters with them in hope of them finding their mates. A meeting will take place two days after the ceremony.

At Hilltop, Charlotte's life was a living hell. Megan has just come home from college and didn't hear the announcement from either Mark or Charlotte, so she doesn't know that Charlie aka Charlotte is the Alphas daughter from the deceased pack from Whitetop.

!SLAP!

'I told you I want my room clean and tidy before I got home!' Megan screamed in Charlotte's face.

!SLAP!

Megan hit Charlotte again. She went to raise her hand for the third time when her father came down the hall and stopped her hand in mid air.

'Dont!' He starred at Megan with his dark eyes. She hung her head.

'Yes father.'

Charlotte went to walk away when Frank grabbed her by the arm and dragged her off to his office.

'Why did you lie to me?' He started to question Charlotte.

'My mother always told me to never give my real name to strangers. If they didnt know my name, they werent known to the pack'. She replied.

You could tell by Frank's face he was annoyed at her answer.

'Why did you accept Mark's rejection' he continued.

'Do you really think I would want to be a part of this pack after what you've allowed Grace and Megan to do to me!'

Frank did not like her answer or the way she spoke to him.

'Dont forget who you are talking too! You are a member of this pack so you will reconsider Mark as your mate.' He demanded.

'I was never declared a member and I never want to be. I am older enough to leave here if I wish and I will do so as soon as I can.' Frank grabbed her by the arm and throw her out of his office. He throw her that hard she landed in the wall opposite. She fell to the floor, winded by the impact. Slowly got back on her feet and headed back out to the kitchen to finish preparing the food for the guests that were slowly starting to arrive.

Mark was in his bedroom pacing.

'I new there was something different about her.' he spoke to his wolf Jax.

'I told you not to reject her but you didnt listen,'Jax growled at him.

He shut Jax out and continued to come up with the plan to get Charlotte back, as he new having an Alphas daughter as his mate and luna would make his pack higher ranking than Chris.

As the day went on the ceremony started. Charlotte stayed in the house as she was told. She kept herself busy in the dining room setting the table.

People started to come into the house to collect drinks and mingle. She new they weren't really interested in the ceremony but finding their mates within the other packs that attended.

Chris was walking around and making small short conversations with whom ever tried to speak to him. He wasnt interested in meeting any of the other pack girls, he just wanted to get the meeting over and done with.

'b***h! Screaming was heard coming from the dining room.

'Keep your f*****g eyes off my mate!' One of the girls started to grab Charlotte's hair and rammed her head into the table.

Plates, cutlery and glasses smashed to the floor.

Charlotte tried to free her hair out of the girls hands before her head hit the table. Alot of the guests were starting to come and see what the commotion was.

Charlotte got a cut to the eye and a bloody nose. The girl continued the fight by hitting Charlotte's head of the table again. This caused Charlotte to loosen her grip on the girls hands as she started to feel dizzy. She got thrown to the floor and kicked to the abdomen. Charlotte started to cough up blood. People only stood and watched as they could see Charlotte was not a guest and more of a slave.

The crowd was getting so big in the dining room that Chris was wondering what the hell was going on and why Frank wasnt stopping it.

'MATE!'

Chris's wolf howled.He was running around in circles with anger as he just wanted to be released.

'what?' Chris questioned his wolf Jay.

'Mate!' Jay repeated himself.

Chris barged past everyone that was crowded around the girls, or should I say girl, beating up Charlotte. 'Shes on the floor,' Jay started to growl in Chirs's head.

Just as the girl went to grab Charlotte by the hair again..

'Get your f*****g hands off my mate!' Chris roared, which shook the whole house.

Charlotte was in and out of consciousness and heard the roar. She didnt understand why she heard the word mate. Before she could see who had said it, she fell unconscious.

Chris couldnt believe that his second chance mate was a slave but behind the blood and bruises, he could see how beautiful she was. Everyone stepped back as Chris approached Charlotte laid unconscious on the floor.

'What is the meaning of this?' Frank pushed past the crowd to find Chris picking Charlotte up off the floor.

'Pack doctor now!' Chris demanded.

With a raise of his arm, Frank jested in the direction of which Chris should take her. He followed close behind Chris until they got to the clinic.

'What the hell was going on?' Frank asked Chris as he was heading into a room.

'My mate was being attacked by one of your guests!' he growled and slammed the door in Frank's face.

'His mate? that cant be.' Frank said to himself. 'But that was Charlie!'.
