Cora's Point of view
I woke up to the sun shining and my back hurting. I slowly sat up and stretched. As I looked around, I smiled.
Today no one would come to my house and get me. I would not be put to death. Instead, I would find my own destiny.
I grabbed my bag and pulled out some fruit I had packed, and began to eat it. After that, I drank from the pool of water and then gathered my stuff and began to walk. Since the flying men flew in the direction I am facing, I decided to walk that way.
I would have until nightfall until I would turn into a full-blown succubus and would need s*x. They taught us in school the moment we turned into a succubus are bodies would need s*x instantly. We would crave it, and the longer we went without it, we would do anything we could to have it.
I was scared of what I would do, but I had to have faith I would find the people I was looking for. I walked as quickly as I could, and anytime I heard a sound, I would look in that direction, but it would be a creature. I had never seen some of these creatures before. Perhaps it was the barrier that kept them away, but they were beautiful.
I had just seen the cutest baby, four legged creature. It was brown and had white dots on it. I wanted to touch it, but the closer I got to it, it ran away.
I heard so many birds chirping, but I had yet to see one. We had many different types of birds near my house. One of my favorites was the red bird.
I had been walking for a long time, and I was starting to get tired. I sat down by a tree to rest. I ate some of the roast my mom had made the night before. I wasn't sure if it would be safe to eat, but I was starving. It tasted good.
When I was done eating, I started to walk again but slower. I felt like it was beginning to burn, and I knew I had a few hours left until I turned full succubus.
As I was walking, I took my bag off my back and grabbed some of my mom's homemade candy, and began to eat it. But, I knew once I turned, food wouldn't be as satisfying.
Once you turned, you could still enjoy food, but it did nothing for you. My mom complained about going to the sending-off parties because she hated having to eat the food. Some of the incubi and succubi couldn't stand food, while others like to eat, but I wanted to enjoy this while I still could.
Soon the burning became too much, and I fell onto the ground and curled into a ball. I knew anytime now that I would turn. I had failed.
Tristan's Point of view
I was the first to wake up, and as I waited for the guys to wake up, I went for a walk. As I was walking, I found a berry bush and decided to pick some. It would make for a good breakfast, and we could save some of the food we brought with us.
After picking some of the blueberries, I headed back to camp and decided to wake the men up. James, of course, was not happy I woke him up and started to grumble.
As the guys got up, I began to eat some berries. They tasted like blueberries, just sweeter.
"Where did you get those?" Joe said as he pointed to the berries.
"I picked them this morning. There is some over there for James and you," I said as I pointed to the leaf I put the berries on.
"Cool, thanks, man."
"No problem."
As we were eating some berries, James walked up, and Joe pointed to the berries.
"Seriously. I am a wolf and need more food. Bacon, eggs, and toast would do."
I rolled my eyes and kept my mouth shut. Joe must have felt the same way because he kept his mouth closed as well.
After we ate, we began to walk again, and James, of course, was complaining.
"We need to find these people. I am starving."
"James, shut up, or I am going to punch you," I said.
"I can't believe you just said that," Joe said as he high-fived me.
"You two might be okay to live on berries, but I am a growing wolf and need more. I want a real man's breakfast."
"Dude, we are all hungry, and we knew that this could take a while. So suck it up," Joe said as he looked at James.
"I will die of hunger," James whined.
"Shut up," I said and flashed my dragon eyes.
James finally stopped complaining about the food, and as the sun was high in the sky, we stopped for lunch. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which I was excited about. I hadn't had one of these since I was youngly.
Once I was done eating, I decided I would fly above and see if I could see anything.
"We should try and find a spot I can transform in. Then, I think I should fly and see if I can see anything."
"That would be a good idea. Maybe catch us a deer for dinner." James said with a smile on his face.
"James, I am going to throw you into a hole and bury you alive if you keep it up," I said as I tried to reign in my anger.
James held his hands up and backed away.
"Good idea James, stop making the dragon mad."
We cleaned up our mess and began to walk again. The sun was starting to set, but we finally came to a clearing. The clearing was large enough for me to transform.
"Make camp. I am going to fly and see if I see anything. If I find something, I will roar once, and if there is trouble, I will roar twice." "Sounds good," Joe said as he sat down.
I walked away from the guys, and when I was far enough away, I transformed and took off to the skies. As I was flying, I was scanning the ground. I could see heat signatures, and all I saw were animals running around until I heard an earth-shattering scream.
I took off in the direction of the screams, and I saw a body lying on the ground. I roared once and then flew towards the ground. However, before hitting the trees, I transformed into my human form and fell to the ground.
There lying on the ground, was a young girl screaming in pain.
