The Hooded One

Episode 20

Tyler is taking me to meet his mum in a today, I normally don’t give to f***s about what people think about me but today I wanted to make a good impression, but I also don’t want to pretend to be someone I’m not.

I ended up deciding that I would wear a black pair of leggings and a red hoodie, Tyler said Olly could come as well so Olly is wearing a black pair of jeans and a red shirt.

“Olly do you have your lunch box?” I asked as I picked up the flowers I got to give Tyler’s mum.

“Yep.” I heard from a little voice behind me.

“Alright lets go love.” I said taking his little hand in mine and walking to the door where Tyler was waiting.

At the hospital

“Sof don’t stress that’s not good for the baby.” Tyler said, not helping me not stress at all.

“Come on.” Tyler said while knocking on a door.

“Come in.” We heard from inside, it was a sweet yet tired voice and I guessed it was his mother.

When we walked in there was a woman, who didn’t look at all too old, sitting on the bed, she was smiling but her eyes looked tired, Tyler goes over to his mother and kissed her too cheeks, after a while of them catching up she turns her attention to Olly and i just standing at the door way.

“Who are those too cuties?” She asks Tyler while smiling at us.

Tyler also turns and looks at us and says,

“Well mum the little boy is Olly and that’s Ollys older sister Sofia, and the little girl in her is my daughter...”

I swear I saw all emotions cross that woman’s face from confusion to annoyance to happiness.

“I swear if the cancer doesn’t kill me you will you stubborn boy.” The older woman said turning to her son.

“Dear why are you too still standing there come closer and give me a hug.” She then said to me and Olly.

Olly and I walked up to her Tyler took the flowers from me while Olly was receiving his hug, his mother said something that got Olly laughing so hard that you could probably hear from the other side of the hospital.

“Well aren’t you a gorgeous thing, no wonder my son went after you.” She said eyeing me up and down then hugging me.

“Thank you mam.” I said stepping away.

“Oh god no dear call me Heather or mum.” Heather said and I nodded.

“How come you hadn’t brought this beautiful young lady to meet your old mother before huh.” Heather said turning her attention back to Tyler who looked like he could actually piss himself.

“Um well, so umm, uhhhh.” Tyler looked absolutely terrified of his mother which was hilarious to watch, I actually tried my best not to burst out laughing.

“Well if I heard correct your expecting.” Heather said to me, from the back of my eye i can see Tyler breathing out relieved.

“Yes I am Heather, in less than 5 months I’ll be expecting a little girl.” I answered back proudly.

“Do you mind.” Heather asked.

“Not at all.” I said back and went closer so she didn’t have to get up, she puts her hand on my tummy and looks up at me smiling.

“I still remember when I was pregnant with the one here, I love him but this boy loved to bring me trouble when growing up.” Heather said laughing at the end, Tyler rolling his eyes.

“So what did your parents react.” She asked me, my mind just went blank, I could feel tears swelling up in my eyes, without me even realising Olly was in front of me and said,

“Mummy and daddy are in heaven.” 

The colour completely drained from Heathers face, if it even was possible and an awkward silence filled the room.

“Sorry dear.” Heather said sounding truthfully upset.

“It’s ok, it wasn’t your fault.” I answered back while picking Olly up and laying his head on my shoulder.

After that the conversation slowly but surely got less awkward and more funny, Heather told me hilarious stories of Tyler and soon enough it was getting late, Tyler took Olly from my arms and held him himself, said goodbye to his mum and then walked out, I also said bye but before I walked out she said, 

“You make him extremely happy, I missed that smile on his face.” 

“He makes me happy too.” I said then walked out.

We walked out and you would think we were just on normal happy family.

Before we got into the car we heard a gunshot and soon both me and Tyler had our guns out and shot three guys who were shooting at us, I was able to protect my tummy and Olly with the car door and Tyler was also standing in front of me and Olly to protect us, Tyler was shot in the shoulder I was about to try take him back into the hospital when he said,

“Get in the car and drive to the warehouse, here they will be suspicious.”

I bucked Olly in while Ty got into to car and used his coat to wrap around the gunshot and I drove us to the warehouse hoping Tyler wouldn’t lose too much blood on the way.
