Episode 14

Sofia’s POV

“Mission went well I presume.” I asked not looking up but looking at Olly starting to fall asleep in my arms.

“Perfectly.” Tyler answered back.

I then looked at Jack.

“What he said.” He said quickly.

“Well I’m also happy to tell you that Ryan just killed the stupid worker at the docks giving out our information.” I said having a huge wait of my shoulders.

“So Boss What are you going to be doing for your 18th.” Jack said, when he realised he had said that in front of Tyler he started to freak out, really doesn’t matter since he already knows but might as well let Jack freak.

“I mean...umm...fuck.” Jack said out of frustration.

“Language.” I said sternly, making Jack roll his eyes.

“And it doesn’t matter, he knows anyway.” I say as if it wasn’t much.

“Wait what, he knows, how does he know.” Jack said confused.

“Well I wasn’t sure at the start, the busted hand gave it away.” Tyler said making reminding us he was still in the room.

“Wait that’s how you figured it out I thought it was because you spilled the milk over me too.” I said.

“Dude she was so pissed, she was raging about her spilled coffee.” Jack said laughing.

“You weren’t laughing then.” I said, I had came into the computer room so pissed that day that Jack only nodded his head to anything said directly at him.

“That’s because your f*****g scary when your angry.” Jack answered back, trying to defend himself.

“Language.” I said reminding his again.

“You swear too.” Jack said annoyed.

“But I’m older.” I said proudly, trying to move Olly’s sleeping head from my arm a bit as I could no longer feel it.

“Barely.” Jack said, this boy is pretty cheeky today.

“If your not even 18, and if your older than Jack how does he work at the gang, don’t you have to be 18 or over to get in?” Tyler asked, the question making me annoyed.

Tyler’s POV

Both Jack and the boss tensed up when I asked the question and I was confused to why, I looked at Jack and tried to figure out his age, Jack has to be at least 15, he has blond/ brown hair, brown eyes with freckles, normally when you’d think of a computer nerd you imagine a short, with glasses kind of kid, but Jack really didn’t match that, you’d think he was at least 18 if you were a bit further away from him, but closer by you can tell he’s young because some of his features give him away.

I was brought out of my thoughts when Jack started talking,

“I’m 14.” I was close.

“The boss took me in nearly two years ago.” he continued, so the bad Blood Rose who doesn’t have mercy on no one does have feelings.

“At a very young age my little sister died in a car crash at the time I was only 5, that’s when my parents started drinking.” 

“Jack you don’t need to continue.” Boss said looking down.

“It’s ok boss.” Jack said taking a breath.

“That’s when the beatings started.” His eyes startled to swell up with tears.

“It went on for 7 and a half years.” Now tears running down his cheeks, his being abused makes sense actually, Jack gets startled so easily, and flinches if you come too close.

“The older I got the worse the beatings got, it was so bad it that I slipped into a coma once.” His parents are f*****g assholes.

“Another of the really bad times was when they beat me so bad I lost so much blood it was all over they then beat me again because the blood got on their carpets.” Wtf.

“I came across Boss when I was in my way to the hospital, after beatings I had to make my way to the hospital by myself but somehow I fainted and then woke up here, the rest is history.” He ended then stood up, I got up and hugged him.

“Kid, i have no f*****g clue how you did it but hell your strong.” When i let go he nodded and then made his way over to the boss, she gave him a kiss on the cheek and then with Olly in her arms she left.

“She’s protected me since, she’s like an older sister really, a role model, I don’t know if I would have made it it it wasn’t for her, sometimes it might not seem it but she’s got a really big heart.” Then he walked out as well leaving me with my thoughts.
