The Hooded One

Episode 12

Sofia’s POV 

I spent the rest of the afternoon with Olly, playing with him and when he started to get tired I got him changed and got him to his bed, read him a book, by the time I was done it was 9 o’clock, I decided to call Ryan and ask him to stay over with Olly for a couple of hours so I could go check on the gang, by the time Ryan had arrived, I had taken a shower and got dressed it was already half past 10, the time actually flies.

When I actually got to the gang it was pretty quiet, most people, the ones who aren’t busy or on jobs go to bed quite early especially if it had been an exhausting day, which most are.

I decided to go check on few people here and there before I got on with work, my first stop was of course at the computer room, I’ve got to make sure Jack is going to bed soon, he stays up too late sometimes, the irony of me telling him to go to sleep, I should really take my own advice.

“Hey Jacky.” I said walking in again without knocking, it’s a really bad habit.

“Hey boss I thought you wouldn’t be in again today.” Jack said taking his eyes of what looks like a very complicated graph on his laptop, too complicated for me to understand actually.

“Olly fell asleep so I thought I’d get some work done, I won’t be staying for long.” I said sitting on the chair next to Jack trying to understand the graph.

“It’s has all the activity going on anywhere on the warehouse, if you see any movement anywhere on this click on the dot that’s moving and you’ll get to the camera that’s capturing the movement.” Jack said clicking on a random dot to show me, ok if he explains it it makes more sense.

“That’s cool, click on that dot.” I said pointing to a random dot.

“Ok boss.” Jack said finding my excitement for the graph amusing.

When he clicked on it we found out it was Faith and the one of the new members with the premature baby, the kid seemed really unsettled, I decided to go check on them as they seem to be in a i have no clue what to do moment.

“Jack don’t forget to go to bed, I’m going to check of them.” I said to Jack him nodding and starting to go on with what looked to be more complicated s**t.

I went to the nursery and walked in as the door was opened, Faith and the new member bowed their heads, it used to annoy me when people bowed or called me boss but after a while it stopped bothering me so much.

“Hi, Faith you look tired go rest I’ll help out here.” Faith thanked me then left looking exhausted.

I went over to the new member feeling bad I didn’t remember his name,

“I’m sorry but I forgot your name...” I said turning to the new member.

“Lee.” He said putting out his hand for me to shake, after the introduction I turned my attention to the tiny little thing that you could mistaken for a doll easily.

“Do you mind.” I said going close to where the baby was lying.

“No please go ahead.” Lee answered quickly.

When I picked the little boy up I couldn’t get over his eyes, he had a green eye and a blue eye, I’d never seen anything like it, I brought him closer and started to move him from side to side, he quickly calmed down and soon was fast asleep, I set him down and turned around a bit too fast bumping into someone feeling a slightly warm licked making it’s way through my top, when I looked up without thinking I said,

“Seriously again, why dude.” I saw the expression on his face change to a thinking one but soon he was smirking like an i***t.

I walked out of the nursery playing on getting changed not really playing attention to what was going on to realise that I was being followed, I got to my office and straight away took of my top as it was a bit stick with the milk formula, I heard a cough coming from the door and then I realised that Tyler was standing there, looking at me with his longing blue eyes.

I soon remember I was just wearing a bra, and let’s just say it doesn’t leave much to imagination so I went over to a drawer and took out a top, pulling it over my head and bringing my attention again to Tyler.

“What.” I said and frankly quite rudely.

“Your Sofia.” He said leaving me taking a step back.

“Ok I understand how you figured the first part out but how in the gods name do you know my name.” I said annoyance clear in my voice.

“In your school file.” He said smirking as if he’d won the lottery.

“Why did you go over my school file.” I said getting very pissed.

“You went over mine.” He answered simply, making me have to give up as he had a pretty fair point.

“Alright, what do you want.” I said turning around making my way over to my chair. 

He sat down in front of me and said,

“Nothing.” He said back.

“What do you mean nothing then why are you annoying me dude.” I said getting tired of him.

“How much do you want for silence.” I said trying again.

“I don’t want anything but if you have more jobs for me to do, I’ll grandly take them.” He said again confusing me.

“Ok if jobs is what you want to to Jack and tell him to call you whenever there’s any jobs.” I said still confused.

He got up said thank (I don’t know what for) before he walked out he said,

“I was going to ask you out for drink but your only 17.” And then he walked out, leaving me even more confused if possible.
