July brought the season of warmth; the air buzzed with excitement as the townsfolk prepared for the annual summer fair. Amidst the festivities, Elara felt the weight of delayed happiness. She led Daniel through the stalls, their hands brushing against each other, igniting unspoken desires.

Yet, memories of Arthur lingered in the cool shade of the trees. On summer evenings, he would strum his guitar, serenading her under the stars. The simplicity of those nights became an echo that clashed with Daniel's laughter, painting her heart in hues of sorrow and joy, love and betrayal.
