As my head came back to the present, the bus slowed down as it pulled off the highway. I looked at the bus schedule from where I am now. At the grey hound station, it will take an hour to get to Upper Arlington. I rolled my eyes, ugh. with how late it is, I might not be able to bus where I am staying. well, let's get this over with, and I'll figure out a ride to my place later. I got on the bus and repeated over and over. "Hi, my name is Maggie. I seek permission to be in your territory for six months." wow, it's really raining out there. the rain was hammering down on the bus. ugh, this is going to be miserable. The bus was getting close to my stop, and the rain hadn't let up at all, and I didn't have any rain gear with me. But I did find a thick hoodie. At least, this is something. i placed my backback under the hoodie to try and keep it somewhat dry and put my new phone in the duffle bag so i could get to it easily. I gathered my stuff up, and the bus stopped. Some people gave me apologetic looks as they noticed I didn't have any rain gear. I looked around, and it looks like most places were already closed, but this outdoor frozen custard place. It did have a nice Is big onning to hide from the rain. "Hi there! just to let you know we are closing in five minutes." said the person behind the glass. "No worries, I'm just pulling up directions on my phone. you can keep closing." I pulled out the new phone and typed in the address for the alpha. It's at least a twenty minute walk from here, according to the maps. I looked at the time it's close to ten PM. definitely not getting a bus to go to the new home. At least I have some cash for a taxie. So, I called for a pick-up at the alphas address and started walking. Is it just me, or is it raining harder? I kept my head down and turned when my GPS told me to turn. Eventually, I got to the house, and the rain had all but stopped. I kept my hood up since my hair was still blonde. The house looked big, but all alpha houses are. I did notice that it was all made of stone on the outside mixed with bricks. and the driveway was also made of stone. I got up to the door and rang the doorbell. no one came to the door. So I rang it again. Is no one home? I turned my head to look in the drive way there was three cars parked. someone has to be home even if it's just the bodyguard. I rang the doorbell again. come on, I'm cold and wet and want to get this over with. I waited a few minutes. Fine, I'll be annoying. so I just ring the doorbell till someone gets annoyed and answers. I rang the doorbell over and over. finally, I heard someone stomping towards the door. "About time." I said out loud, knowing whoever was behind the door would hear me. The door flew open to a man in nothing but black basketball shorts. his skin was a dark brown color, and his hair was down to shoulders in tight curls. slightly covering his eyes that were gold with his wolf. he had a clean-cut goatee. Both his arms were completely covered in tattoos but I couldn't see what it was, it might have been some kind of tribal his whole body looks like he fights or at least boxes as a work out. All I could think of was Mine! He growled a little at me, "What do you want!" his hand never left the door nob. it took me a while to realize I hadn't responded. I was struggling with my wolf, who wanted to grab this man and claim him. "Hi, name is Maggie, I just got into town. I seek permission to stay in your territory for six months." "Are you serious? This couldn't have waited for a normal time of day?" "Well, if you would have answered the door when I first rang it." I mumbled more to myself then him. he growled again, and I heard the door nob crunch under his hand. "I am Alpha here. Do you really think that comment will allow you access to my territory?" I bit back another reply and broke eye contact, looking at his chest, that oh so perfect chest. what am I thinking? "Sorry, Alpha." I saw his chest relax a little, "did you walk here in the rain?" "No, I thought it would be fun to go swimming in my clothes." I saw head lights pull up behind me. That must be the cab i called. "So can I or not? if not, I need a few days to make arrangements to leave again." I heard the car turn off and the door open and close. then a second door open and close. ok, not my cab. great, more people. I heard someone walking up behind me, and a set of heals echoing the other footsteps. I went to move out of the way, but somehow, I got bumped into. "Ugh, move out of the way. The homeless shelter is downtown." said a female voice and laughed at her own joke. I think she bumped me on purpose. I growled and looked up. She was wearing a skin-tight black dress that left nothing to the imagination, including she was either cold or aroused. the dress went down to just over her hips. her skin was a pail white that looked like it had never seen the sun. her eyes were blue, and she wore her makeup to make her eyes really pop. her hair was long, and a light brown that hung in curls around her face in the front and a high pony tale in the back. I stared at her in the eyes till she looked away. My wolf was not happy with her being so close to the alpha in the door. I got pushed back by the other person, who was with her and looked him in the eyes. he looked just like the alpha in the door. but his face just had the ghost of a goatee. he was also wearing a suit that fit him perfectly with a green t-shirt underneath it. he growled at me while he spoke, "Watch who you are growing at." we locked eyes, Mine! my wolf said again. I looked at the man in front of me, who looked angry, and looked back at the other man in the door. who now sported an amusing look on his face. "There are two of you here?" the shock must have been really obvious. "Yes, and yes, I grant your request." said the Alpha from the door who is now leading against the door Frame with his arms crossed, making his arms and his chest look even bigger I lowered my eyes, so I would blink. The Alpha in front of me never moved a muscle and was still just staring at me with the gold of his wolf in his eyes. I looked him in the eyes with my wolf out and stared at him. I could see the woman In my peripheral vision. She look a little jealous that he hasn't moved away from me. Head lights flashed over his face, and I looked away to see if it was my cab or another one of their people or for all i know a third alpha. that looked like a cab it me. I looked back in the direction of the alpha in the door without making eye contact. "Thank you, Alpha." I turned to leave when a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I balled my other fist and on reflex swong at whoever grabbed my arm. My fist was caught in a hand as I turned. the alpha that was closest to me held my hand. he held it for a moment longer than needed. When he dropped my hand, I could still feel his heat on my skin. I never looked at him in the face. just our hands connected and mine as I walked to the cab. "See you around, Maggie." I raised my hand up with to wave goodbye as I walked away. I heard a hearty laugh coming from behind me as I opened the cab door and sat in. what am I doing? they will totally be looking at me now. Once in the cab, I looked at the men on the porch, and both of them were staring at the cab. The one in the door must have been the one that laughed since he still had a big smile on his face. the other one had a blank face while the woman came up and attached herself to his side. but I could see his eyes following the cab as it pulled away.
