Lillian’s POV:
Sitting beside the window, I looked outside watching the trees swaying. I can see the newborn kittens, stumbling around the grass, jumping on top of one another. Running a hand through my long dark hair, I shut my lids, head laying on my knees. A knock was heard, disturbing the tranquil silence. “Come in,” I stated, eyes still closed.
The door creaked open, and I can hear sounds of footsteps. “Queen Livianna,” one of them said.
My eyes open, head lifting upward. “Yes,” I replied, placing my feet down on the cold tiles floor.
“The Custodes are here, stating they would like to speak with you,” he said.
“The Custodes huh,” I repeated, trying to hold in the snort.
