"hold on ma'am, you forgot your change" ivy said as she ran to meet the lady who seemed to be in a rush. she had already gotten into her car when ivy got to her, she wound down her glass and gratefully collected her change from ivy. as the lady drove out ivy could not help but notice a black sports car that was parked it had on its front a logo with a reared horse, definitely the car wasn't there when she came that morning. she walked back into the coffee shop as she admired the vehicle. *** ivy giggled at what Gina had said. gina was always like that, she had a good sense of humor, although she can be really inquisitive on the other hand too. "one cup of coffee please" a customer ordered. she recognized that voice, but from where? she thought to herself as she turned to see to the customer's order only to see the same face she had probably forgotten. the whole incident came rushing back to her........ even as she was about to leave the hall she could still remember the firm grip she felt on her hand that stopped her in her tracks. "leaving already?" he said, "how can I help you?" ivy asked a little startled with a grin on her face "how can I help you?" he mimicked "well you ruin my tux, you ruin my night" he said dryly "come" he continued as he took her hand in his and the walked to the other side of the hall, there weren't really much people there. "I apologized, and besides it's not a big deal" ivy said trying to make out what he meant in his previous statement. "well.... your apology was not enough" he said staring at her. "okay then, if it wasn't, I don't have anything else to say to you" she snapped " oh no, you don't have to say anything, you could visit..and spend some time like this together, I don't live very far by the way" he said nonchalant to his rudeness. ivy was still standing there thinking of what to say to the spoiled brat. at last she pushed him out of her way and walked out of the building, replying him would just be a waste of time. she couldn't help but mull over what he had said, did she really look much of a lowlife and a slut to him?, was that why he felt it nothing to talk to her in such manner?. and there he was, right in front of her. his face didn't seem like he was surprised to see her maybe,if he was he didn't show it.as she got his order ready he took out some notes from his wallet and placed it out in front of her "you can keep the change" he said as he took his coffee" no offense, but it's part of the coffee shop's policy not to collect tips from customers" she said as she took out change to give to him, but he didn't wait to take it, he just walked away. after a few seconds, the black Ferrari she had seen earlier was driving out, as it got onto the road and drove by as she looked closely, he was behind the wheel. "who was that?" Gina asked with her eyes wide open, "I don't know yet, though I've met him before" ivy said not wanting to continue "you have?" Gina asked again this time stressing the have. "yes" was Ivy's only reply. As soon as she had gotten home, she had barely even taken off her shoes when her phone rang. she picked up the call which was from an unknown caller, "who's this?" ivy asked "hi ivy, it's me Cindy" the the caller said. "Cindy?" ivy repeated, "what! have you forgotten me already?" Cindy exclaimed over the phone "oh my, it's been so long, and how can I forget you of all people" ivy said in excitement. "well, I'm sorry it had been this long, I'm glad I have your contact now" Cindy said in an appologitic tone, "I just got back into the country though, can we meet?" she continued as she asked, "sure, how about Mama J's restaurant" ivy suggested, "alright then, Mama J's restaurant on friday" Cindy responded, "okay, till then" ivy said finally as she hung up. wow, Cindy's back after all these years we've spent our lives apart. she and Cindy had grown up in the same neighborhood back then and we're also opportuned to go to the same school but didn't graduate together, Cindy's family had moved out of the country whilst they had just finished their first year in high school. one thing for sure, she was happy she would meet her old friend again.
