In a neighboring town, fliers of a bounty for 2,000 gold are being posted around the square. A young wood elf monk sees the bounty and runs all the way back to the hotel where his 2 friends are. “Morninthin! I might have found another job for us.” said Mon, the wood elf, excitedly, “It’s for 2,000 gold pieces. All we need to do is kill a sea creature. Where’s Shark?” “He went out to get some more supplies. Where’s the job at?” replied Morninthin. “Just the next town over. We could be there in the afternoon tomorrow.” As Mon finished, a dragon-like man about 6’3, mainly muscle, covered in blue and silver scales with two similar colored horns curled backwards, “Where are we going to be tomorrow?” asked Shark. “Mon found a new job that is worth 2,000 gold for killing a sea creature.” Morninthin said, “I think we should take the job.” They decided to take the job and pack what they have. Morninthin packs all of his potion making equipment and his dark wood staff. Mon packed his light armor, long sword, longbow, and his arrows. Shark packs his heavy armor and long sword. “Let's get the horses and ride to the town.” They head to the barn where a pure black horse, a chestnut horse, and a bay horse with their saddles ready to ride. Shark is on the black horse, Mon is on the chestnut horse, and Morninthin is on the bay horse.
As they rode through the forest with Mon taking the lead, the horse spooked and threw Mon off causing Shark and Morninthin to pull the reins to stop their horses. Shark dismounts quickly to check on Mon, “Are you alright Mon?” he says as he helps Mon up. “Yeah. Just a little thrown.” When Mon stands up, a 4 orcish barbarians appear out of the trees with swords at the ready, “Give gold over.” said the front orc in almost broken English while motioning towards Sharks coin bag and his side. “I think not.” replied Morninthin. As the orcs look at Morninthin they just chuckle. To them he is just a normal looking human with long straight block hair, dull green eyes, about 6’0, and pale so they think nothing of him. They look at Mon and have almost the same reaction as Mon is about 5’5, with copper colored skin, short brown hair, and bright brown eyes he looks almost defenseless. They only think that Shark is the one they have to worry about based on his size and that he looks intimidating. What the orcs don't know is that Morninthin is a powerful wizard, Mon is a skilled monk, and Shark is a paladin. “Give gold!” an orc replied with an angry tone in his voice. “Come and get it.” said Shark with a slight smirk. The orc that talked rushed towards Shark, which easily dogged him, and ran straight into a tree face first. Two orcs faced Morninthin as he grabbed his staff and started a spell that would shoot out 4 beams of light that act as missiles towards his opponents. As the spell got casted the 2 orcs each got hit in the legs with the beams dropping them to the floor with a yell of pain. The last orc was faced with Mon and his long sword that he drew and with 4 quick slashes the last orc is down on the ground with his legs cut up. “Well that was fun.” said Mon while he puts his sword up, “Let's get moving. Don't you just love when everyone underestimates you.”
