12 WOUNDED THE TREE WAS STUNNING. And, it was just the distraction that he wanted. Roger and his family had just added the finishing touches to make the place a winter wonderland. The shining angel resting on top seemed to be watching over them. Flashing Christmas lights mirrored off of the cabin windows, and, for a while, sinking back in his recliner, Roger had forgotten about recent events that troubled them. That Holiday reminded Roger of an old novel he read. Assembling by the crackling fire, snowflakes falling, stockings dangling from the mantle. Everything was as peaceful as could be.
