THE MARSHALS ENTERED the office, and Jones told Roger and his boys to wait for them in the lobby. He was nervous. Inhaling deeply, he and his subordinates headed through the double doors leading to the conference room. As they walked in, they spotted the director and another gentleman standing next to her.
“Hello, madam director,” Jones said as he moved closer to the table.
“Hey, Jones,” she replied. “So, I am guessing that you are wondering why I called you out of an operation.”
“It crossed my mind, yes,” he answered. “We are so close.”
“Well, to put it bluntly,“ she said. “We have a problem.”
