Chapter 3 Hurt the Innocent with Innocence

1938 Words
Daisy's POV  When I woke up, I found that I was lying in a room decorated with marble flooring and cement walls. There was no one else in the house except me. How did I get here? Staring at the swinging crystal chandelier above my head, I thought.  All I could remember was that I was shocked by a vast force, and I didn't remember what happened after that ... I looked around the room blankly, surrounded by the sound of training soldiers. "Are you awake?" A tall knight walked in. "Are you feeling better?" I was frightened by the person who broke in suddenly. I could see that he realized his abruptness, so he walked to the table embarrassingly, poured a glass of water, and brought it in front of me, "I'm sorry, please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Frederick, a warrior. Again, I apologize. I didn't control my energy just now. I didn't mean to hurt you." After saying that, he scratched his head. "Frederick? Are you Diamond Knight that everyone talks about? A brave warrior who brought constant victory to Brown Pack and the legend in the arena." I was surprised to find that the man in front of me turned out to be the respected Diamond Knight, Frederick. "You know me? How? You just came to Brown Pack yesterday. "Frederick looked at me in disbelief. "How do you know that I just came to Brown Pack ?" I was just an ordinary maid. How did Diamond Knight know that? "Yesterday was Princess Margaret and Alexander's wedding. Everyone knows that our Queen has brought her maid. Moreover, every servant in Brown Pack's has a brown bracelet on their wrist, but you did not have one. So it is not difficult to see that you are the maid coming with our Luna Queen. Oh, it seems that I don't know your name yet. Can I have your name?" "Call me Daisy. It's glad to see you, Diamond Knight. By the way, you said you didn't control your energy. What's going on?" I'm still confused about it. "I don't know what's going on. Sometimes when I exert my strength, my energy burst, and everything around me will suffer. See? I lost control just now. Thank God you wake up. Otherwise, I can't forgive myself. I'm so sorry about this. " "I'm fine. So... Why did you fight with them?" Somehow, I hoped to know more about him. I knew that Diamond Knight wouldn't fight with someone unreasonably. "Those people are from Black Pack. Black Pack and Brown Pack are feuds. Even the slaves of the two packs will fight each other when they meet. Yesterday I was on the way to the training ground and saw them sneaking into our pack. So I came to a stop them." Frederick explained. "Despicable! They should be shameful for doing this." I said in an angry tone. The sky gradually darkened, and the sunset slowly set over the mountain. I realized that I should go back, "Diamond knight, thank you for saving me. I should go back."  "Just call me Frederick." He showed a bright smile to me. "Goodbye, Frederick." After saying that, I walked to the door. "Please wait." Frederick stopped me, "This is for you." He took out a bracelet to me, "Every maid in Brown pack has a bracelet. So this is for you. " "Is this the bracelet that all maids wear?" "No, this is only for you. Others don't have such a gift from me." Frederick gave me a crisp laugh. "It's a magic bracelet. Once you are in danger, I can feel it with this bracelet. Then nothing can hurt you. "He said so while wearing this bracelet for me.  I could feel that I blushed, so I turned my eyes to the floor. "Thank you. I'm leaving." I ran out of Frederick's room and chased the sunset back to my attic. I took a long breathe, "Goodbye, sun, see you tomorrow." Frederick's POV I looked at Daisy when she went out, not retrieving my eyes for a long time. What kind of feeling was it? I couldn't give a clear answer. That night, when I was singing A Red Red Rose on the roof, I heard someone responding. Whenever there was something in my heart that I had no way to solve, I would climb on the roof, singing that song as I looked down at the Brown Pack. It seemed that this song could give me a clear mind. Yesterday, Ray, my wolf, told me that he felt my mate, but he stopped talking when I asked him where my mate was. Look, this was Ray. He liked playing jokes with me, who always threw me a hook but did not finish the story. But he never lied to me. So at night, I climbed up on the roof, counting the stars in the sky. The stars that night were brighter than ever before, maybe because the fire in my heart lightened them. Ray found my mate! Who was she? Where could I find her? Was she beautiful? All of these questions disturbed me, which made me hard to sleep. Accompanied by the silence of the gloom, I sang my favorite song and hoped that the music could give me the answer I wanted. When I heard someone responding to me, I leaned down and saw a girl running while singing loudly. I didn't call her right away because I wanted to observe her for longer—what kind of girl she was and why she ran for this song desperately. Then I saw her stop and douched behind a palace. Finally, she was leaning against the pillar in front of the palace. When I went down by her side, she had fallen asleep. I tried to take her home, but such a move might awake her. If there was something that everyone believed, being disturbed by a stranger man at night in a new pack was horrible. So I gave up, awaking her to take her back. Then I took off my coat and put it on her. Before I left, I cast a spell on it, and nothing could get close to her that night. "Hey Ray, I lost control of my energy again. I hurt her, which sucks my day." I said to Ray. "Yeah, when will you know how to control your energy? I also wonder about this. Don't forget to tell me once you get the answer." Ray sneered at me. "Every time you hurt the innocent, you blamed yourself and then endlessly asked me. Even my earwax is tired of your complaint."  Every time I asked him a question, he would reply to me with nagging. So I always wonder whether this guy my wolf was. No matter what, this time, he made progress. Usually, he answered me with more than ten sentences, but see, and he used five to reply to me just now. "I have exercised restraint very hard, but today I am out of control." "Erick, look how silly you are. Think of the good side. Aren't you curious about Daisy? What a good chance to get close to her and take care of her." Ray said indifferently. Four more sentences... In total, eleven. I was too optimistic to wrongly predict how many sentences he would say. "Ray! "I shouted to him, "Watch your words! How can you say that?" "You're welcome. I just said what you think." I became silent because I didn't want to say even a word to this guy. "Erick, silly boy. Without my help, you probably can't become Diamond Knight. I have to give you my ace in the hole. Go find a blacksmith who's living in Moon Street. He knows how to help you." Ray's voice broke the silence.  "Ray, is it enough?" How could he let me find a blacksmith? "Have you forgotten? The last time when we came back from Moon Street, a blacksmith beside us was using magic while chatting with an older woman. From his words, I guess he's a sorcerer who didn't know how to control his magic when he was young, but now everything goes well with him. So I think he may have the answer you want. Silly b..." Before he finished his words, I stopped him, "I don't like this name. If I'm silly, how can I have such a smart wolf?" I laughed. I ran out straight to Moon Street right away. When I arrived there, my happiness turned into endless sorrow. Suffering from wars, people in here were withered and languid. I saw a man beating up a little boy in dirty clothes in front of me. The little boy didn't cry, and he was sitting there motionlessly. I hurried forward and stopped the man. "Stop! Using violence to children is illegal!" I shouted to the man. "Illegal? Then tell me, whether obstructing others teaching their own son legal? Please don't talk about such a thing to me. I don't believe in the law, which can't guarantee my life. Can it?" I couldn't answer his question. Can law guarantee him life? Several years ago, I might say "yes" because then I thought Utopia existed. But now, I was not sure. The little boy turned around and embraced my leg tightly. Watching his yellowish eyes, I knew that he was not begging me to save him but asking me for some food. Because from his eyes, I read "hunger."  I touched my pocket to see if I had brought cookies, but unfortunately, I had not. "Wait for me here," I said to him. I ran to the shop next to me and bought sausages with all my money. "This is yours." I gave the little boy two sausages. "Don't use violence against your son again, or I will definitely arrest you," I said to that man when I gave him sausage. He didn't speak. A glimmer of light flashed in his eyes, and then the glow of light went dark. He looked at his son, who was eating sausage, touched his head gently, and said, "Don't hurry. These are all for you." "Don't crowd! Don't crowd!" I distributed the remaining sausages to the people along the way. When I watched the crowd rushing up, I felt a little flustered. It was getting more chaotic, and I was afraid that the scene would worsen if this was not stopped. I ran to a big stone and yelled, "Listen to me! Please line up! I am sure that everyone can get two sausages. If anyone fails to get sausages, let me record your name and come tomorrow. But if you continue disturbing order, I will never come!" Sure enough, my words took effect. Everyone received what they wanted at last. I walked to that man and said: "See? Order born from the law means something." Then, I left there and moved forward. Finally, I found the family that Ray was talking about. I heard the sound of ironwork in the yard. Ray didn't lie to me. It was a blacksmith's. I walked in slowly, and suddenly someone strangled my neck with a string. I quickly pressed my elbow to his abdomen, and he stepped back. He caught me off guard, and my face was bloodshot. "Frederick, you'll lose." I was dragged back by the rope. Unconsciously, I pulled out the sheath and pointed at him with my sword. Damn it. I felt that I would lose control of my energy again. No! This could make him die!
