Erika's Pov
I was quiet while we ate dinner. Earlier, Chona and Charles talked privately t
before the woman left quietly. I don't know what they talked about but I saw Chona smiling when she came out of the gate. The two talked on the edge of the swimming pool while I stood beside the window and simply peeked at them. When I saw Chona leave with a smile, I suddenly felt heavy in my chest. I quickly went up to my room before Charles could see that I was beside the window and peeking at them.
Charles went up and knocked on my room but I didn't open the door for him. I pretended to be asleep so I couldn't hear any noise outside. But I was forced to leave my room when night came and Rose knocked on my room and invited me to eat dinner.
I went out of my room, but I didn't talk to Charles,
