Charles and I were both silent after something happened to us. Only deep sighs from him could be heard inside my room. When I could no longer bear the silence between us, I spoke to break it.
"It's getting late, Charles. Get dressed and go home," I told him in a serious tone.
"Just like that, Erika? That's all you're going to say after what happened to us? It happened to us twice. What if you get pregnant?" Charles answered me in a frustrated voice. He couldn't believe it while looking at me.
"I believe I won't get pregnant, Charles. And even if I do, I can raise the child like I raised Rose."
"I am not infertile, Erika. And you know that" that answered; he seemed insulted by what I said.
