Kayla's POV I Finally decided to stay at a hotel downtown. When I arrived, the air inside the hotel lobby smelled faintly of carpet and lavender air freshener. Dragging my heavy suitcase across the tiled floor, I pulled my oversized gray hoodie down to my thighs, carefully tugging the fabric forward to drop loosely over my four month bump. I just wanted a key card, a bed, and complete, uninterrupted silence. "Kayla?" A deep, male voice echoed from the side entrance. I froze.
