Kayla's POV The lock clicked into place with a sharp sound that seemed to echo right through my chest. I stood still in the middle of the dark, huge master suite. Around me were floor to ceiling glass windows showing a wide view of the glowing New York skyline, soft expensive carpets, and a massive king sized bed covered in silk sheets. It was beautiful, but it didn't feel like home. It felt like an expensive, gold plated cage. I walked slowly toward the window, pressing my hand against the cold glass.
