Kayla's POV OAK TOWN-THE NEXT MORNING The air in Oak Town was thick with the scent of damp pine, engine exhaust, and Damp soil. It was a rugged, quiet countryside town miles away from the roaring skyline of New York—a place where time seemed to move completely differently. My stomach let out a loud, painful rumble.
