Grandpa Edward continued to investigate Alyana and Henry's case secretly; he didn't go to the station for some time because they had been refusing to share any information with him. He also didn't meet with Oliver when he heard he got married to Violet and ever since he saw him with Violet in front of their home. He felt betrayed because Oliver didn't inform him about the marriage and he even got Violet pregnant before the wedding.
