CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE.
Alyana cleared her throat making Oliver stand up quickly, he walked to where she was standing.
"If you leave me, I will understand," She mumbled, glancing another way because she didn't want him to see her In tears.
"Alyana, why will I do that? Do you think I will leave you because your dad disinherited you or because you are now jobless? I don't care about the money, I can always make a living for both of us, and even if we wallow in poverty I won't ever give you up for all the riches in the world but I am worried about you Alyana, you will lose everything once you go with me. You have lived differently so I will understand you if you don't want me," Oliver replied, making Alyana turn.
"Don't say that Oliver, I am willing to adjust to any life just to be with you," Alyana said with her puffy eyes.
"Alyana, are you sure? You will lose so much, everything you work so hard for, including your position," Oliver said.
"The money doesn't matter to me either Oliver, I love you so much," Alyana said, stroking Oliver's face.
"I love you too Alyana," Oliver replied, clutching her tightly.
Back at Mr. Edmund's office, he was so furious at Alyana. Lucille entered the office with a cup of coffee for Henry.
"Thank you hon, I don't understand Alyana, she is making a very big mistake by going with that boy, I wonder what she sees in him," Henry said, sipping from his cup.
"Henry just let her be when she is calm she will come back and you guys can talk when you are both cool-headed, I am sure she will realize the extent of what she will lose and choose her family over him," Lucille said, stroking Henry's back grinning widely.
Lucille left the office when Henry told her he had some work left to do, it will help him calm down he told her.
She was standing in front of a mirror in tears when Violet entered.
"What is wrong mummy? Are you crying? She asked.
"Nothing dear, I am just practicing in case Alyana comes for her things tomorrow, I don't want anybody to notice that I am rejoicing because at last that stupid girl will be leaving our lives," Lucille said laughing hysterically.
"Oh, mummy I am also glad she's leaving, she pisses me off so much," Violet replied.
"All these years of being married to Henry, I was able to convince everyone that I am the most loving and supporting stepmother to Alyana and I truly care for her but no one knows how much I despise her even since before I married her father. Honestly Violet I don't care about what she does with her life it is just you that I care about, your security, and your future. Now that Alyana will be gone, you won't have anyone to compete with anymore so please use your chance wisely dear, and get closer to Henry, love him a little more so that he will love you back, and in the end, everything that was meant to be Alyana's will finally be your," Lucille let out patting Violet.
"Of course mummy, I will do just that, I learn too fast you know," Violet replied, grinning widely.
"Good darling," Lucille replied.
The next day Camilla was told about the argument between Alyana and her dad, she couldn't stop crying when she heard her dad disowned Alyana. She entered Alyana's room and found her stuffing her things in a box.
"It is true Alyana, you are leaving us," Camilla asked sobbing.
"Camilla stop crying, even if I leave this house I won't ever stop loving you or papa and you could come to visit me anytime you want, you are always welcome okay," Alyana said wiping Camilla's tears.
"Okay Alyana, I love you so much." Camilla let out sobbing.
"I love you Camilla so stop crying and help me pack my things," Alyana said wiping the single tear on her face.
After Alyana was done packing, she dragged her box down with Camilla behind her. She hugged Lucille and then hugged her Nanny Raquel.
"I will miss you so much, dear, always take care of yourself," Nanny Raquel let out sobbing.
"You to Nanny, thank you for everything," Alyana replied.
She hugged Camilla for the last time both sisters were sobbing and didn't want to let go. After some minutes, she released herself from the hug and walked to where her dad stood.
"Goodbye, Papa," Alyana muttered but got no reply, she dragged her box with a heavy heart, and she turned one last time before entering the cab she hailed.
Violet barged into Oliver's house angrily, yelling Oliver's name.
"What are you doing here this early?" Oliver asked, scratching his eyes.
"2 million, 2 million was offered to you by daddy Henry but you refused it, why?" Violet asked furiously.
"No matter the amount offered to me by Henry Edmund, I will never accept it because I won't ever give up on Alyana," Oliver replied, making Violet burst out into fits of laughter.
"Wow, you are a very talented actor, I was almost convinced with your acting, was that the acting skills you used on Alyana?" Violet asked.
"Think whatever you want but I love Alyana and nothing you say or do can change that," Oliver said.
"Can you repeat what you just said," Violet said angrily
"I told you continuously that I am out of your agreement, I want to live peacefully with the woman I love and cherish Violet, let us be, please," Oliver said pleading.
"Oliver please don't say that, I love you, in fact, I never stopped loving you so don't marry Alyana and choose me, please." Violet pleaded forcefully, kissing Oliver.
Oliver pushed Violet off him quickly"Enough Violet, stop all this nonsense and leave please, it will be better if this is our last meeting. Goodbye Violet," He said, opening the door for her to leave.
Violet was furious at Oliver, how could he do this to her" I am going to make you pay." She whispered before storming out of Oliver's house and entering her car.
